I have been trying to rectify bills for months now. They send checks to incorrect addresses and you have to do your own research to rectify it. They hang up on you. They say they are going to work to resolve an issue and then you have to keep calling back to get it fixed. Accounts go to collections because they refuse to do their job. They tell you to make the calls to hospital business offices to track down checks they sent or didn't sent. There are definite nice reps over there, but I doubt they stay long. Terrible service so I expect terrible place to work.
Like so many others have said, I would give them negative stars if it was possible! My employer uses HRC to manage our FSA and DCA accounts. We have had different vendors over the years and this is our first year with HRC, and I pray our last! Seriously, I'm reaching out to my HR/Benefits team as soon as I'm done with this review. This company operates like they're running a scam - they get OUR money from OUR paychecks and then hold OUR money hostage when we try to submit a claim for valid expenses. They by default either deny or ask for more info on any claim. So any tax savings you could have is lost because you're chasing down some piece of info they want, or filling out yet another form with all the info you already gave them. When questioned they go on about "IRS regulations", which is nonsense as no other vendor has ever asked for all these forms and info. And btw, if you lie to get your expenses reimbursed the IRS is coming after YOU, not a company that manages these accounts. They are basically trying to hold onto everyone's money as long as possible so they can make money off it. They're not even subtle or creative about it. Honestly, if you're in HR do NOT work with this company unless you hate your employees. Then go for it! They will thoroughly make your employees miserable and steal their money.
This company sent a check to me accidentally and then a couple months later they say “the check was mailed accidentally” and you must pay $400. Then they send me all these messages that I couldn’t get access to because I wasn’t aware of what my login even was. Now I finally was able to access my account and have been making payments and I told them I need some time and they keep sending me emails pressuring me to pay with out helping with a payment arrangement. It feels like I’m being harassed and it’s very annoying since I pay so much a month for my health insurance, the whole system is so confusing to me. It’s not my fault for their mistake and I shouldn’t have to stress over this.
The people who review claims don’t know how to read receipts correctly. They will deny you for any tiny little reason. Close to $1,000 in childcare reimbursements held hostage because his daycare is doing the receipt in a way that they actually have to use their brain.
Coworkers were excellent!!!! Manager at the time I worked there this past summer was hostile, but I have heard that she is no longer there and a nice person is managing the CSRs. I am very happy to hear that. I would of stayed if it was not for the manager at the time. This is not an easy job and not for everyone. As a customer, I have to say that HRC took good care of us when we had to have Cobra Insurance for a short period. They were very knowledgeable and explained how it worked clearly.
They say they are going to process but never do it, looks like they are waiting until the end of the year so I may lose my funds. I submitted the paperwork work, online, 3 weeks ago and it is still showing as pending review.
Trying to get online with them is impossible. Live Chat doesn't work and when called and spoke to a rep there, she said, 'oh our live chat has been disabled for a while'. So why have your site indicate that as an option? Based off my and other experience I wouldn't be surprised if Voya buys this company like they did with Benefit Strategies. Another top of the line Manchester TPA. If my valid claim is denied, I will be speaking with my Employer's decision maker.
If I could leave negative stars, I would. I have worked with other FSA companies that are reasonable and easy to work with. This company is AWFUL. They required a letter of medical necessity for a service, which I provided. They then rejected it because the letter wasn't worded properly. When I called them about it, they said it was ALSO rejected because the letter was dated AFTER the services had been provided. That basis wasn't referenced in the denial letter. They told me the letter had to be dated BEFORE the services were rendered. When I asked them to show me the internal or IRS rule that required that, the supervisor LITERALLY told me to "find it myself" and that it "wasn't her job" to give me the rule. I said if they're denying a claim based on an alleged rule, it was absolutely their responsibility to be able to provide the customer with that rule. The supervisor then said she was going to "disconnect the call" because I was arguing with her. Absolutely horrific.
If I could give a negative star if I could. They needed receipt records of prescription purchases. I gave them all of the dates except one. When the date I couldn't find came up I gave them a few dates I could give them and they refused. They told me if I couldn't produce the receipt in question I would have to pay for the prescription again. The staff over the phone seem to not know how the company works as a lot of the answers were 'I think'.
My company uses HRCTS for FSA, DCA, and HRA accounts. I dread the times I have to interact with them. They make every step of the process difficult. They regularly reject legitimate claims and I must refile again fixing some arcane formatting or documentation requirement. The whole point of these accounts is some $ savings on taxes, but the time lost to dealing with HRCTS's useless bureaucracy eats much of the value of that savings. I hate them.
