We had an amazing experience eating here! All of the staff is very friendly, and helpful. The food is DELICIOUS. The menu has so many options! We are excited to return and try some more dishes.Food: 5/5
Absolutely delicious and the service is great. You have to try their dry pot. This is my go to restaurant in the medical center area. There is a decent parking lot behind the restaurant and also street parking is available. When I visited for dinner over the weekends like around 7pm, it was packed. As their food and service are great, it can get crowded. So don’t go, I would like a table when I crave their food and drive over there for my nth visit.
My husband and I were looking for the best hot and sour soup in our area and this place had outstanding reviews specifically mentioning their soup! Naturally, we had to try it. Order at 8pm: 1 large hot and sour soup which is 64oz 1 small hot and sour soup which is 32oz 1 order of 4 eggrolls Total: $21 The soup is very tasty and temperature hot and they even provide white rice with it on the side! Could use a tad more salt and spice as it was missing that "twang" that hot n sour soup usually has. I added my own little dash of ponzu sauce and it was perfect. Egg rolls are the small crispy ones and are VERY tasty. I really wanted to write and focus this outstanding review on customer service because the entire staff is full of absolutely BEAUTIFUL SOULS. We ordered to go and almost left the parking lot but wanted to check our food first. I didn't see my veggie egg rolls so went back in to tell them....they swore that they put it in there but I had not seen it and after a few minutes of searching, they agreed to make more. Well, I went back out to the car to go home and my initial egg rolls had fallen in between the door and seat!!!!!! So I returned to offer to pay for the new ones they freshly made and they were so kind and did not want to accept my money. I was so touched by their kindness that they have now earned a forever customer. Thank you so much Hu's Cooking!!!!!!!!! VISIT THIS PLACE, YOU WONT REGRET IT! It was pretty packed, so lots of Houston must know what I know
Definitely had better Chinese food. Dumplings were not traditionally steamed in bamboo and served but on a plate. Wanton in chilli oil was good. Nothing outstanding, even the coriander lamb was normal. An average Chinese restaurant. One particular waiters entertained a seating request with a rude behavior. Maybe she was having a bad day.
Food was top notch, hot, fresh, quick and absolutely delicious. We had Beef fried noodles, spicy fried chicken, walnut shrimp, green beans and dumplings, all were some of the best we've had in a while. Will come again soon.Food: 5/5
Excellent family dinner styled Chinese restaurant. Each dish tastes authentic and unique, and they have plenty of options to choose from. I especially like the orange chicken and the eggplant dish. Good to go as a group as you get to try a lot of different dishes for a decent per-person price. They also offer dim sum during certain times of the day. Highly recommend.
Fast and good service. Services were friendly and cheerful. Place was pretty packed but food was out within 10 mins. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would recommend.Food: 5/5
My wife really liked the braised beef noodle soup and found it very authentic - except for the noodles themselves they just seemed like spaghetti noodles. The chicken I had was a bit disappointing; it was pretty soggy. The employees were very friendly, and it was easy to order by phone ahead of time and pickup.
This is my first time at Hu’s Cooking, totally worth the try. I’m not a spicy person, so I asked my waitress Sunny for a help. She was very nice and professionally recommended me some dishes like braised pork and pickle, scrambled egg and tomato. Both of two dishes were delicious. And she asked me if I wanna try their fish and soft tofu soup but not spicy. The soup tastes pretty good! It’s a wonderful place for spending time and money.
Probably our favorite restaurant in all of Houston. Unbelievable food, extremely friendly and quick service, huge selection, great prices. Especially especially recommend the Spicy Chicken.Food: 5/5
