Current renter in the building and just hit our 6 month mark at Hub BK and love it! Great building with a great staff in place. We toured 8-10 other properties in Downtown BK and this was the absolute best. Alex Blake from the leasing team provided exceptionally good customer service and answered all questions in a timely manner and I had many of them. He even followed up post move in to ensure that we were happy with our new living arrangement. Overall, great experience since we moved in and will continue to renew here in the years to come.
My unit smells strongly of smoke, and I believe at this point it always will, rendering this unit uninhabitable. The smoke smell is coming from a neighbor who smokes in their apartment. Management has done next to nothing to prevent or mitigate this. I wouldn't recommend this apartment building to my worst enemies. Awful.
We've been living at the Hub for about 5 months now and so far we absolutely love it! The apartments are modern, bright and spacious and the amenities are second to none. The gym is one of the reasons we decided on the Hub as our home. The newly opened rooftop terrace has stunning views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Everyone in the building resident and employee is polite and cheerful. Plus, we're walking distance to just about any train we could ever need, restaurants and shopping!
For what it's worth I don't live here or haven't applied to live here to please take my review with a grain of salt. I stopped by to see a friend and they offered to show me around the building and I really have to say this place is incredible. If I hadn't get closed on a house I would entirely at least look into getting a place here. Pool, gym, theater, peace, space, clean, open, friendly staff, just the works. It has everything you need to feel at home and is an ideal place for people who work from home. I might not live here but from the surface and based on what my friend has told me, it's a great spot and worth checking out.
I've been here four years and had a good experience. My move-in was handled by Ronald in the leasing office, who was wonderful then and continues to be very welcoming and helpful. The door people are exceptional. The maintenance tickets are answered quickly. The trash rooms are emptied REALLY often. The other residents are generally polite and friendly. I like the amenities and use them all the time, but they are managed by an outside company, Iowa Sports, which is more of a 4 star company. Still worth it, it's just very noticeable that they are not operating on the same level of excellence as the building itself. It's more hit and miss, with some really helpful and responsive staff and some that seem put out by having to do their jobs. Overall, a good experience!
Been living here since 2018 and I can't see myself leaving anytime soon. Main draw outside of the amenities is the staff. It's easy to find a building with nice amenities, but it's hard to find a staff you like. Honestly I'm cool with all the concierges, porters, valet attendants, property managers etc. When I do move, it will be the day I decided to purchase. For now I'll continue renting at the Hub
Best place I’ve ever lived. Concierge was friendly. Mail was always accounted for. Quiet, beautiful facility in the heart of Brooklyn. Ron the leasing agent was phenomenal and Alex made everything smooth sailing. Most of all maintenance was prompt and efficient. Spoil yourself and stay here! No regrets
Have an apt here. Pros: - Gym and pool are quite nice and seldom overcrowded, but you do have to pay extra to use them. - I haven't had any packages stolen or security issues. - Quite close to many different train lines and groceries. - Management hasn't given me any grief. - Kitchens are quite nice. - No pest problems. - Handymen are pretty responsive. Cons: - For some reason the water was brown sometimes for like 8 months, but that issue seems to have gotten better. - A/C units aren't very consistent. Overall, pretty good. If it's in your price range, consider it.
Nicest building I will probably ever live in. Great amenities, incredible views. Very responsive and friendly staff, any service my apt needed was handled within 1 day. It was easy moving in, and easy to arrange moving out I appreciated Alex's help from the leasing office on that front. Biggest selling point for me is that the Hub is one of the only buildings in Brooklyn with a full sized 75ft pool most are 50ft pools, which are useless if you're a real swimmer! and I almost never had to wait to use it. Some reviewers are mentioning noise and like any nyc apt I've ever lived in sometimes you hear neighbors, doors slam or fire trucks, and on higher floors during storms the wind whistling can get loud but I can count on one hand how many times that really was notable within a year. That said, 95% of the time, my apt is quiet and peaceful and that's pretty darn good. If you want an entirely quiet apartment move to the suburbs
