Nice enough place with a great selection of baked goods. There are some unusual options like blueberry & rosemary scones and cranberry & chai ones both vegan too. There are also lots of muffins. The service was decent although there was some miscommunication with our order, possibly due to a bit of a language barrier, I think. My scone had a lovely flavour and it was gooey in the middle which was yummy - although possibly an indication that it was undercooked. The surprise came with the bill as my tea cost $6.95 see photos for size and my scone was $5. The bill came to more than $30 for three baked goods 1 plain croissant, 1 choc muffin and 1 scone and two hot drinks 1 tea and 1 double espresso. I think the prices need to better reflect the type of venue - a decent, simple local spot for a quick coffee or breakfast.
The best coffee shop i visit in nyc. The delicious coffee, the food and the desserts I loved. super clean place and everyone who works there is super nice. I recommend the hamburgers and smoothies. They speak English and Spanish.
The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming and the food is superb. I had the waffle sandwich and it hit all the right notes of sweet and savory. Couldn't have had a better brunch experience!Food: 5/5
Cute little cafè. Many vegetarian and vegan options, in sandwiches and in sweets. The coffee is ok too. They have a vitrine stocked with many pastry items and a few rarities like rosemary scones -which taste great!-. The sandwiches come with nice roasted potatoes. The prices are a bit on the high side though.
I came upon this delightful little café today for lunch and service is quick charming, and the food delicious. I will definitely be back. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I’m having a chicken and pepper sandwich with vegan cheese and vegan chicken. Vegetarian options: Very happy with their vegan and vegetarian options here.
I stopped by for a coffee but decided to have a 'avacardo smash', with banana and honey, absolutely delicious, I'm not one for avacardo, but this dish certainly changed my mind , service was excellent and attentive. Table was clean and services was quick . When I'm in New York again, I will definitely stop by for another breakfast.Food: 5/5
Had a great first experience at Cafe Luna! Came for a drop-in brunch on a Saturday and was immediately greeted by Chris and another helpful wait person. After a short wait my boyfriend and I were seated 10 min which felt reasonable given that we had no reservation and it was prime time for brunch. They have a great $20 brunch offering where you can choose a coffee + entree. My brunch burger was so tasty and came quick! Chris, who also became our waiter, was super pleasant and we chatted about an upcoming trip my partner and I were taking. Super wonderful experience and looking forward to making this a regular weekend drop-in for us.
Short review: Excellent food and drink, clean, great ambience, friendly staff and great location. Long review: Located in the heart of the West Village, Cafe Luna has everything you need. We visited this location on a Saturday afternoon and couldn’t have been happier. Upon entering the beautifully decorated cafe, we were met by the friendly staff who made first timers feel at home. The waitress was able to recommend and walk us through items on the menu which proved to be very helpful. The red sangria was delicious and the perfect drink for a warm summer afternoon. We ordered the bbq chicken sandwich and the Huevos Ranchero burrito. Both were fresh and tasted great. Throughout our meal, the wait staff was attentive with refills and seeing if we needed any further service. We will definitely be coming back to try the rest of their menu.
This place is so lovely and cozy! I stopped in for a quick bite and left feeling absolutely renewed. I ordered an avocado toast that was served perfectly warm and toasted with fresh avocado, and was recommended a delicious, warm brownie that was just above and beyond. Everyone that works here was so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
I love this place more each time I visit. I adore all -day breakfast options! Thier sandwiches, salds and baked goods are great, as is their coffee. All the staff are super sweet and chill. Feels like an old time NYC place with the checkerboard tiles. A perfect place to recharge.
