HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT GET PRODUCE FROM HERE! I live right across the street, it’s a convenient but got home and realized they had just sold me furry brocoli. Very untrustworthy, will not be getting produce here anymore!
BEWARE!!! moldy food sold here Came in and grabbed a cheesecake. I took a bite and realized it was bad. There was mold on it and the bottom half was almost liquid. Package is not even labeled with expiration date or date it was made.
I grabbed a junior's cheesecake, brought it home, opened it and realized it had mold. I wouldn't purchased perishable goods from here as I see other reviews about moldy food.
Clean and a nice variety of delicacies and gourmet items. I can't get to 5 stars because of the service from what appeared to be the night manager on a Friday before closing. She shouted a few times about the store hours and seemed to have a perpetual scowl as we approached the counter to check out and when we exited...albeit before the witching hour of 10:00 p.m. Irrespective of the long days and nights we all have in our lines of work, it isn't asking much to at least smile and say thank you to a paying customer. I almost dropped this 3 stars, but I remaining objective here and can't downgrade an otherwise nice market by the behavior of one employee on one given night.
I got a salad frequently; it’s pretty fresh hot bar always has good options and they have a really good soup. Overpriced and they charge you the credit card fee which is very common in the city these days. So if you don’t pay with cash you get charged a fee instead of them getting charged it by the credit card company. They really charge more for things there than most places. It’s convenient and they have a lot of variety so I definitely buy from the store but it bothers me to pay so much
Service at the sandwich counter is awful. The people behind the counter making the sandwiches are rude and have horrible attitudes, and they make-up prices not listed on the menu above. I think the management of this place purposely tells the people behind the counter to up charge on certain items not listed on the menu, then when you inquire they then say “this section is more”, when it actually is not. There’s not many breakfast/lunch options in this area, so this establishment feels they can include hidden charges for items that should be included. If you’re spending $15-20 for lunch, the customer service should be a-lot better. Beware!
I go to school Monday and Wednesdays and although this place is very expensive I still shop here. Great place to sit down and eat and feel at ease. The two gentleman that are always in the main squeeze area are both amazing. The guy with the red beard has great customer service skills andI always feel compelled to buy something because of him. Feedback to store: plz do something about those prices. Some of these prices are irrational and I would categorize it as robbery sometimes. $9 for a tiny bit of meatless chili is crazy as an example. I would still recommend this place if you have some money to blow. For context, I usually eat here twice a day. Coffee and donut in the morning and then lunch. That would normally come out to almost $30. If I get a smoothie I'm hitting over $40. Plz change.
Relatively new place and still in the process of getting every element up and running. Although, they're open for business. Gourmet grocery store located on the far west end of 57th Street. Good variety of produce and some speciality products. There's a wonderful charcuterie station along with a coffee station, a smoothie bar and some wonderful prepared foods station, just to name a few. Great place with excellent potential to bring highly desired and diverse food items. Great location and open daily. This place has the potential to be a very popular spot.
This grocery store is brand new to the neighborhood and very clean. They carry a lot of food on the shelves and ready to eat pictures attached. Unfortunately, this market is just too expensive for the neighborhood. bottled drinks run for around $5-$7 here but at the Duane Reade up on 59th and 11th : the same drinks cost $3-$5. I bought some of the hot pastas and a salad from the food bar that is pictured. The pastas were soggy and the salad mix that I tried was mis-marked. The food bars at hudson marked cost $11 per pound plus tax, but Whole Foods in the Shops at Columbus Circle offers much healthier options for $9-$10 per pound. Would not recommend.
Used to go there all the time, untill I bought a juniors cheesecake cake that had mold on it - called them to inform them and they hung up on me! Very VERY disappointed - so word of advice- CHECK THE DATES & check your cheesecake for mold before you walk out of the store!!
