Adopted my first rabbit here a few months ago. The shelter is very clean, and they have big pens for rabbits instead of cages, so very nice. The people who work/volunteer here are friendly and helpful. The adoption process was easy. It was unfortunate hat three days after I adopted my rabbit, he got liver lobe torsion I’m still not sure whether it’s itthat the vet I took him to said he was unlikely to survive. I was so overwhelmed because I had zero experience of taking care of rabbits at that time. The rabbit volunteer at the shelter followed up with me and offered to help when she knew the situation. She also provided information of the background of my rabbit although limited because my rabbit was found by a good Samaritan at a park to help the diagnosis and treatment. Fortunately my rabbit finally survived and he is very healthy and happy now. I hoped that they had vets that I can bring my rabbit to for a second opinion and hopefully cost a little less but unfortunately they don’t probably because it’s rabbit?, so I had to stick with the only vet I could find available at that time, and I spent a few thousands in that month. So I would suggest anyone to have pet insurance ready before the adoption if you can afford it, also the condition is not related to the shelter, my rabbit was fine before I adopted him, it’s just that anything can happen so you’re better off with an insurance.
How can you not love this place. So many cute animals. And today I got a new addition to my family. Big discount for older cats too . They have dogs, cats, and rabbits! I wish i could adopt them all!!! The staff there are very nice and professional. We thought the adoption would take a while, but it was about an hour, including waiting in line. What a deal, for a $75 fee, i got a cat, fully vaccinated, dental cleaned and chipped. And a sweet one! This is the place to adopt, look here first! I decided to add pics of the rabbits only because you all know about the cats and dogs.
I recommend making an appointment. It made the process of kitten adoption easier and less stressful. I only visited the kitten/ cat side but it was very clean and the cats seemed happy and playful. I have had my fur babies 2 of them- Tia and Spencer for about eight months now and they have both remained happy and healthy.
Came here for the first time. Nice building with kind staffs. Saw many lovely animals. Will come visit next time.
Two stray cats wondered into our backyard and the wife just can’t resist the temptation of feeding them! But we are worry they will produce kittens so we found this service for community cats. You need to make appointment before you can drop off the cat. And entrance from the “cat” door. They will deworm, vaccinate, de-fleas, spay and chip the cat for free if you are the resident of Santa Clara county! There will be a $50 charge if you from outside of the county! The people work there are very friendly, knowledgeable and well trained! And they do show the love to animals ! We will pick up this cat this afternoon and try to enjoy this new backyard visitor!
I adopted my best friend from here and she’s almost two now. They made the experience so wonderful and I highly recommend this place for your little fur baby
The best rescue I've ever seen! The dogs and cats all have good sized rooms and get a lot of love, attention. Clean rooms immaculate with clean beds and blankets and plenty of toys! The outside play yard is amazing! I was so impressed I gave the facility a donation when we left. We aren't quite ready to adopt, but when we are we will come back and find the perfect puppy! If you are looking for a new pet please do yourself a favor and go here! I promise you won't be disappointed.
We have searched for the perfect fur baby for a year now, from getting email alerts about new dogs, even drove all the way to Boise id to see a dog but came back empty handed, till we went to humane society of silicon valley. The facility was the most up kept and best one we been to yet and the staff were wonderful and helpful, and all the wonderful things they do and offer the animals is awesome, we ended up adopting a 3.5 month girl puppy they called hibiscus, witch we going to change but not sure to what yet that day, they gave us a lot of good information and it cool they include 6 free weeks of puppy training with the adoption. We are happy to have our new fur baby, and wish we could take them all home
Really glad to have a place like this for animals like dogs and cats primarily. There are always bad people who abuse or abandon their pets and we are glad to see there is a place like this to save them. Well organized and well planned. My kids love this see this place and the animals they shelter. At least they don’t have to stay outside and risk their life everyday. Also happy to see so many people here to adopt or support this place. Do not have pets if you cannot take care of them. You are their all of all and without you, you are sentencing your pets to death penalty. Love the animals and be responsible.
It's the best place I've been to in long time. Excellent floor plan and space for all animals. The employees were super helpful and you can tell they care about there animals. I went there to just look at the dogs cause I'm a army veteran with PTSD and was looking for a dog. I ended up walking away from there with a 3 month old puppy.. they are military friendly and have excellent offers for veterans.. sorry I didn't take pictures of the actual place but here some pictures of my baby girl I took home. Please go there if you are looking to adopt an animal. You will not be disappointed. I love this place...!!!!!!
