Hy-Vee

Living near downtown, I've grown to appreciate this HyVee. Not the widest grocery selection of the Hy-Vees in town, but it has character and downtown needs a grocery store. Good for quick runs versus shopping for a large list. Changes incoming, so will be interesting to see how that goes.

Nice store, and very convenient to those of us who live downtown. But what happened to all the shopping carts. What if I want to buy more items than fit in one of the provided baskets?

Great location for Downtown. The biggest problem are the prices. Don't know why but the prices there are much higher than other stores. Very convenient for the quick item or two, but for household shopping I would go to a different location and save money.

Absolutely enjoy the Scan & Go service! Faster than self checkout! I hope when they renovate to their “Health Market” concept, they don’t shy away from the staples. I only eat healthy half of the time, not all of the time, LOL!

Beware of the salad bar. About 2 weeks ago I found RAW shrimp GREY being heaped on top of some cooked ones by the gal tending the salad bar. She said that "they're fine". The management removed them but not sure what measures have been taken to ensure future food safety.

Lots of items! Love this store. Prices higher but got everything you need in a pinch! Cool place!

Priced slightly higher than surrounding HyVees. Only has ONE cash register staffed by an employee. All other check out lanes are Self Service.

Don’t go to this store on a rainy day. I slid and fell on their floors and broke my leg and foot. And they did nothing about it. “The cameras didn’t catch the fall”

Best hyvee ever! Small town feel and amazing savings on selected items sometimes even better than walmart!
