This is a nice pleasant environment with a little rustic flare and a giant wood fired pizza oven on one side. The service was good and food reasonably quick. The pizzas only take something around 6 minutes to fully cook at the high temperature they run. Everything I have had there has been delicious. The only caveat is that they tend to be pretty small and lightly topped, and fairly pricey for the small portion sizes - I might suggest going during a special. That aside, definitely worth trying for a special occasion. Vegetarian options: They are happy to make strictly vegetarian AKA vegan friendly pizzas. They don't have a large selection of options - mainly the margarita, but the sauce is delicious and the toppings are good too. They do tend to be relatively light with minimal toppings, so not very filling for the price - especially one the veg pizzas. They do have potatoes and some other slightly more interesting toppings, you can probably request an alteration - but it is generally more of a fixed menu vs a make your own pizza type place.
Solid pizza spot. Great location in KC’s River Market, you’ll love the atmosphere with lots of great places nearby. There’s usually a good crowd when we’ve gone but we haven’t experienced much of a wait, so my hat’s off the hard working staff here. We like to get the pepperoni and add the hot honey. I wouldn’t say it’s spicy but it adds a nice kick. Overall great flavor to the pizza. Pretty impressive menu with likely something for everyone.
First time here. The main seating area is an open floor design plan that is framed by old Kansas City brick walls. The seating on the Southside wall has a continuous bench in order to line up tables and chairs to fit any size party. The menu is large with your choice of traditional sauce or white sauce pizzas. The food is made to order and cooked in an old school oven. Have kids with you? You can bring them up to the pizza area so they can watch their pizza being made. A good-sized dining space in the back with a large impressive bar that is a great place for more quiet conversations and drinks. Outdoor dining is also available. The pizzas were good, and we had leftovers. A must go place when you visit the City Market on the weekends.
Love this place - super chill vibe! The pizzas are delicious and SO many choices. Shout out to Parker the bartender who gave us great service!! HIGHLY recommend going here.Food: 5/5
We are verified NYC pizza snobs. We make our own pizza at home at least once a week. Creating a delicious pizza is definitely a Culinary Art. Come eat here if you want to experience that art: pizza created with care and intention. Since it's an open space, you are able to watch the chef prepare and cook your pie. It's a real technique, and while in the wood fired oven, the pie must go on a specific spot then be attended and shifted etc. I loved being able to see the process! The crust was *perfection* and the toppings were just right, not too much and not too stingy. It was all just so Right. Madi, hostess & server was radiant, very friendly and attentive. She greeted us with such a big smile. We were the only customers and usually that's when you kinda get forgotten, but not with Madi! I would assume everyone here has the same vibe and I'll definitely be back to find out for sure... And did y'all see that outdoor section?!
Delicious Neapolitan style pizza. Have come here a couple different times and always been pleased with my experience.Food: 5/5
I finally was able to pop in and knock this artisan pizza spot off my list. Priced at about $15-$17 a pizza, kinda steep, but when I took my first bite, it was real, this pizza was made with love. I went with a white sauce pie. The CREPA. Added pepperoni and sausage and made sure to only have half my pizza blessed with the balsamic glaze just in case they put too much for me. The pizza was AMAZING and next time I'll be sure to glaze the whole thing.
Did not think someone could make a bad pizza. It was undercooked and tasteless. Has potential but just need to add more real ingredientes to the pizza and let them shine.Food: 1/5
I'm glad I found this place really close from the river market. Pizza is great, trust me I was born and bred in Italy, they also have a good selection of cocktails and beers - including a nice Menabrea that pairs perfectly with pizza. I'd love to come back and try more of their pizzas.Food: 5/5
This place was great! You gotta try the white pizza with balsamic vinegar. For some reason it goes so well with the wood fired crust. Our server, Amaya, was so sweet, punctual and really helped us understand the menu. We got all her recommendations and were NOT disappointed!Food: 5/5
