Giving only 3 stars because of service, I was dissatisfied with the food. Out of 5 plates, 4 were ok. My plate was not fresh at all, and I could see the concern of our server having his hands tied. The service was good, and the workers at the Douglas locations are very nice and kind. Unfortunately, the quality of my plate was terrible to the point where it was not edible. The pasta was super old and reheated, which is a shame because the meatballs were really nice, and the pasta was to the point of spoiling. I base the scoring on my companion plates, and they were ok with them. The lasagnas were really good, and the pizza was the only plate that was superfresh. Overall, I don't think I'll be back. Someday, maybe I'll check the one at the Rock Rd location to compare. Il Vicino needs to improve the work conditions. Using old food to move stock is terrible. Having cooked food stocks is already unacceptable on a restaurant. Please do better.
We went here for lunch today and really enjoyed it! The prices are much better than other places for really good food. We had the lasagna, a calzone and a meat pizza. And the servings are rather large. There is plenty of parking and lots of shopping in the area. We will be going back! Dietary restrictions: They do have vegetarian options as well as gluten free.
Excellent! I ordered the Garden Lasagna and my husband ordered a pizza. Nice, laid back atmosphere and plenty of parking.Food: 5/5
Really great food. We drive 2.5 hours to come eat here because it’s so good.Food: 5/5
Aside from the long wait I think there was a school pizza party going on or something, this place was very nice! Great pizza options! I had the Bianca, and my wife had the pepperoni and salad. Overall, the pizza was delicious, and authentic! I will definitely consider coming here again when I'm in the mood for pizza! But be warned, it's on the pricier side, in comparison to places like Pizza Hut and Dominoes. That being said, it's well worth the money. Vegetarian options: They have Vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: They have Gluten free options.
My favorite pizza in Wichita disclaimer: I haven’t tried Piatto’s yet!. This is the only location I’ve been to as a customer, so I can’t vouch for the others. Just really good Italian-style wood oven pizza. Portions are small for the price, but the ingredients are super high-quality. Served with fresh Parmesan and a delicious chile-olive oil upon request. Pro tip: they allow you to sub the sauces on all their specialty pizzas.
This is some of the best pizza we have had since we left California! Love all of the different gourmet flavors, yet you can make your own. However the best thing about the pizza was the hot Italian oil that they have to drizzle over the top. We bought some for $25 for the bottle. Seems like a high price, but completely worth it! They were very busy at lunchtime, which is always a good sign. The staff was great and very attentive. We will be sure to visit again, anytime we are in the area.
Neither pizza was particularly fantastic. They were both decent enough, and the crust was good, but nothing was amazing. They also don’t have ranch, only their interpretation of a ranch-like sauce, and that wasn’t particularly great. The Chili oil on the table, or whatever it was had a very odd flavor. Didn’t seem to be a very good addition to anything. The place was busy and food came out fast and was hot. Overall, I wasn’t blown away but it wasn’t bad by any means. A solid 4/5 experience.
We had a great time here. This place has great outdoor seating by the Douglas. Parking is available right in front of the building. You’d have to place the order right upon entering the restaurant, and the staff will bring the food right to your table. Speaking of food, this place got some amazing pizzas. If you’re a fan of thin crust pizzas, this is definitely a great place for you. Wait time was not bad for a busy Tuesday evening.
Excellent food! I loved the Lasagna! It was my birthday so we were given complimentary cannoloni. We will be back!Food: 5/5
