Immaculate Conception Catholic Church

This is a beautiful old Catholic parish. It has a lot of history and children's choir is very special. The parishioners are very welcoming. The priest is funny and I really enjoy his homilies.

Responding to Ms. Ross's review. As the person who attempted to work with Ms. Ross on her request, I agree with her; the experience was horrible. What confuses me is Ms. Ross did not explain the difficulty we had in exchanging accurate information, nor did she recall our assistance prevented a disconnect of service for the utility in question. A payment arrangement by Ms. Ross was made with the utility provider in question in which Ms. Ross met less than 28% of the commitment she made. Our non-profit - non subsidized ministry paid 80% of the unpaid balance on her account. Prior to Ms Ross's request for assistance, she was a complete stranger to our parish. Ms. Ross also did not acknowledge she went to a parish that is out of her area, but we helped anyway. It is not required to be part of our parish or even a member of the Catholic Church to request and receive aid. Being born before 1950, the set of values I learned dictated some show of appreciation for kindness received, especially from strangers, perhaps these values are no longer relevant. As to the disparaging statement about "not true believers" recall that Jesus was betrayed by those who called themselves his closest followers. I may be as horrible as Ms Ross has expressed, but I ask that an unbiased opinion be permitted. If justified, I stand guilty as charged, but it will not this parish who would be guilty, just me. The posting by Ms. Ross was appalling. She totally mischaracterized our SVdP President. As members, we have been around Mr. Duran when he is with clients. His behavior and treatment of others has always been very professional, polite, and compassionate. This is our mission as SVdP members. Judy and Leo Romero
