We stopped here before visiting Fort McHenry. The neighborhood that surrounds the tavern is a brick building paradise. Halloween decorations gave the area a delightful feeling. Onto the restaurant! We felt welcomed immediately and grabbed an outside table. The menu was a great selection of bar food. Ended up ordering the Reuben and a bunch of fries. After getting a little cold, I also ordered the french onion soup. The Reuben used coleslaw instead of kraut, but it still hit the spot. The fries were so good and we held off going for the truffle fries. The soup was hot, cheesy and delightfully onion-y. Great neighborhood spot, would love to hang out here more.
No complaints. I went there for brunch with friends. Everyone seemed to like their food and prices seemed reasonable. I got the Irish nachos which was great and really big for the price. We shared a pitcher of a Mimosa like punch which was really good and pretty cheap. Would go again for sure.
A friend and I visited on the evening of 10/1/21. The weather was beautiful so we opted to sit outside. I had the Chesapeake Cod and grilled cheese w/truffle fries - both delicious. My friend had fish n’ chips and said it was good. We both had a drink which were fine. My friend and her husband recently moved to Locust Point and will likely return often. Thank you for the pleasant evening!
Really enjoyed it here. My husband and I just moved to Baltimore early this year and live in the inner harbor but looking around for a great neighborhood to by a house and decided to stop into this Tavern for dinner and a drink. The food was really good my hubby is a brit and loved the fish and chips and Cora, the owner, was super nice- fun time and a friendly place. Look forward to going back for the pub quiz night too!
The food was fantastic! Get the crab cake burger; it's all made in-house, even the bun. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was a great selections if you're a beer fanatic, not just the usual domestic drafts. As the staff, they were extremely kind people. My wife and I will definitely be returning here.
Have been here many times. It's always a great time. Just went there tonight for Saint Paddy's day. Was very crowded. But the service was still excellent and it still was very much the family atmosphere. Cora always treat you like you're her brother or sister, she is awesome. So much love there. The food has very much improved over the last four years and now it's our go to place. As for drinks, ask do a Manhattan, Cora makes the best.
This place was a lovely accidental find - my love and I were on our way to Fort McHenry and wanted lunch. We're really happy we ran into this place! There weren't too many folks in the restaurant when we came in, but that was alright. This place is a little out of the way, but that means there's a lot of street parking. You have a choice of a few steps or a ramp to get into the building, so that's good if you're using a mobility aid. Love and I had brunch, which was especially delicious with a hot sauce recommendation from our waitress! The wait for food was a little long, but it was ultimately worth it. The soundtrack in the building was also EXCELLENT. For other accessibility things, the bathrooms are small bit there is a gender neutral one available that is larger and has hand rails. There's plenty of room to maneuver in the building as well, so this is a good choice for both food and access! Overall, this was a great experience. I recommend it highly!
Good service, relaxed atmosphere, with a solid drink and food menu. Makes this a good place to visit.
After a trip to the zoo, Hubbie and I stopped in for drinks and dinner. This place is a wonderful neighborhood bar with great food. Not your typical bar food at all. Innovative tasty apps and a very meaty Irish like stew. Can't wait to go back and visit our new friend from Maine, Cora and brother Rich Co-Owners, and try some of the other wonderful items on the menu!
We go there quite often. It is a very friendly neighborhood eatery. The food is always quite good and the variety is fantastic. It is usually populated by the locals, many young families with children. If you are looking for good food and a homey atmosphere, this is the place.
