One of the easiest 5-stars I've ever given. When I ordered, I was told that the Empanadas would take another 10 or so minutes to finish. Worth. Every. Second. Light, crispy, flakey, both the vegetarian and traditional were completely amazing. I also ordered the Vegetarian Mushroom sandwich and the Loma Saltado and both were hot, savory, flavorful & worth every cent. Can't wait to come back for that turkey leg! ... I ate the food too fast and forgot to take pictures. I'm absolutely coming back. Edit: here's the pictures. Exactly as fantastic as it was when I originally posted. Get the Loma Saltado.
Very friendly service and the food was delicious. I had the Lomo Saltado and there was a healthy amount of the tender flavorful steak with a good serving of rice and well balanced amount of veggies and fries where most places would load you up on those and skimp on the meat. I also tried the golden soda which was comparable to the best cream soda I have ever had. They give you a pager so you can wait in your vehicle, which is nice because we are in the northwest and it was pretty chilly when I went
Excellent food! The owner has a passion for the food and it comes through. He has separated cooking areas and pans to prepare all of the vegan dishes.
I’m so lucky to come across with Rocoto Peruvian Kitchen while visiting Oregon for the first time. This place deserves to keep its 5 stars! This is the first place I have came to the same food truck/restaurant for the second time in the same week, as a San Franciscan foodie, this place is top notch and you won’t find his food anywhere else, I made sure to come back and get his chicharrón sandwich before leaving from Oregon. You can tell how every appetizer and entry meals are made carefully with love, the lomo saltado and the chicharrón melts in your mouth as well as his alfajores cookies, everything is made by the owner. I will recommend you to drink his natural drinks, sadly when I came he didn’t have chicha but I will make sure to give it a try when I come back since you can only try this type of drink in South America. I’m sure this place will innovate and expand in the near future, you can smell, taste and see his passion and love in his food. I hope I can see his business around in San Francisco.
Food made with love! Go now! It's delicious you won't be disappointed. Expertly seasoned food.
I got the vegan tallarin saltado and it was delicious! Lots of flavor and big portions. We will definitely be coming back for more!
Absolutely delicious. We’ve tried multiple items from the menu and loved everything. Highly recommend.
Decided to give this place a shot after driving past a few times and so glad we did! The owner is so incredibly nice and sweet, and the food is absolutely delicious in every way! It’s all freshly made to order, and so filling! My partner finished his sandwich and was very satisfied, I could only eat about half of my dish before getting full. but now I’m glad I can snack on it later. This place is certainly worth the drive. His vegan dishes are cooked separately from his other dishes, which is super great! I’m not vegan, but I understand the worry of cross contamination The prices might seem high to some, but honestly, it’s worth every penny and then some. I will be back very often. Please do yourself a favor and eat here. This guy certainly deserves all the patronage.
The food here is incredible, but what makes it even more enjoyable is the passion and love you can taste in every bite. The menu is crafted, not just made, to provide the most lovely flavors from the owner's home. From freshly baked bread to incredible sauces and the most tender pork, you truly can't go wrong here. Highly recommend it
When you go ask for NELSON the cook. He will not disappoint. I’m a picky eater, if you read my reviews you will see how often I give out 5 stars. I’ve been to Peru and never ever imagined trying a “LOMO SALTADO SANDWICH” but once I saw it on their menu I figured I’d give it a try. The sandwich and Nelson did not disappoint. I’m not going to sit here and try to describe the flavor but just know it’s FIRE . I never thought I’d find a great Peruvian spot from a truck but Oregon is full of surprises!!! Ps: Nelson must be some kind of Incan god in human flesh. My steak was cooked PERFECT Hope they reopen asap I’ve been waiting. We all have
