We went for a convention that lasted the weekend and it was perfect! Obviously it isn't a fancy 30 floor hotel with room service and a bar, but it is just as comfortable. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating! Our room was very clean and we were able to stay comfortably warm. The hotel is not new and it shows in some places but nothing that I haven't seen in even some newer places. The water pressure was awesome and it was hot! The fridge and microwave were incredibly handy since we were trying to save money on food. Something that is hard to come by nowadays! The parking was extremely affordable considering most places were at minimum $20 for the day and almost $40 for overnight parking. The location was perfect and right across the street from the convention center! There are a few fast food restaurants within walking distance and it is locates right next to the train. I highly recommend it for an affordable and comfortable place to stay. And I will be making this my go to hotel for any future conventions!
Stayed for 4 nights late July. Friendly staff, room was good enough it had everything you need A/C, fridge, microwave. please be aware that you need to request housekeeping in order to get some. also be aware, it's right next to the cities metro lines 2 min walk at most, which is good because you could skip an uber/lyft and go to the airport's train section and go back once you check out and ride the train which would you save money AND you could use the metro lines to get to pretty much anywhere in Portland. On the downside though, it's going to be pretty noisy and the trains runs every 12 min or so, so you better get used to the sound, or get blessed with a room away from the noise. My room's key stopped working, but the staff helped me out promptly. I would recommend this hotel, great services for the price, great location, right next to a decent selection of food, next to the metro station etc.
The staff of this hotel are the best. They were extremely courteous and accommodating. Our room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Parking was safe and perfect and very close to where we were going.Rooms: 5/5
The room served it's purpose. It was a convenient walk to the convention center. The parking wasn't terrible at $15/night. The bathroom was pretty scummy and run down, but everything functioned. I hate non-elongated toilets too! Good water pressure and hot water..I was disappointment that I had ZERO WiFi on the 5th floor. I was fortunate to have a hot spot. The staff was very friendly.
My stay was ok , the hotel is older then it seems in the photo's and my room had a smell as of either exhaust from the street traffic or possible it was once a smoking room. Also i had a room facing Holladay.st which is really noisy with the tram/trolly bells ringing every 10 mins or so late into the evening and again early am. Can't blame the hotel for public transit development but if you are light sleeper. I suggest a room off the street side. Parking is crazy around the hotel so i also suggest to get a hotel parking pass. The rates where fare but for the location/noise and the age of the hotel plus parking, there maybe better options a few blocks away .
Ok if you are staying to sleep after a concert. Beds squeak, window leaks water leaving carpet wet, bathtub leaked, they use cleaning products that caused me to cough alot, could hear everything neighbors were saying.Rooms: 1/5
The people were nice but the hotel is VERY outdated and rundown. The snack machines were spendy and only had chips, candy, and soda. But restaurants were close. Denny's and Red Robin were only a block or two away.Rooms: 3/5
The location was within walking distance to concert venue, which was good but it is also on the monorail line so you listen to that through the night.. The only customer service we had was checking in, which went well, she was very friendly. The hallway to our room had a funny smell. The door to our room didn't shut behind us automatically so we needed to make sure it was shut tight. There were coffee stains on the night stand between the beds. For me, the bed was uncomfortable but my daughter said hers was comfortable. Rooms are older and need updating.
The hotel is definitely showing it's age. It's dingey, and the bathrooms were not cleaned well at all. BUT, the staff was great! They gave a ton of recommendations on activities, and food. They were always nice and welcoming. It is also in a pretty great location. In walking distance from a lot of great places. It was perfect for what we needed it for. The rooms also had all of the amenities you would need.
Tolerable, "minimalist" hotel. Rooms are dated, but reasonably comfortable. North side rooms are kind of noisy, due to the Max tracks. South side much better. On-site parking $10/nite. No food. Some restaurants nearby -- Citizen Bakery in Hotel Eastlund has good breakfast. And Denny's ugh. Wifi pretty bad. Great location for convention center, and downtown quite accessible. Overall, worth the price.
