So far so good! I booked an appointment with Dr Maloney at the Lutherville office for ankle arthritis and a bunion. He explained clearly what my options are, pros and cons, and never rushed me or made me feel as though my concerns were frivolous. I would recommend him to family and friends. I haven’t had the surgery yet so we will see how that goes.
Based on reviews it's all very hit or miss. Our experience with Dr. Campbell was not good. He doesn't listen, he "mansplains", and he used Covid as an excuse to cut me out when my husband was clearly not able to communicate his issues and concerns. Started with neuro and went rapidly downhill. A very sad and disappointing experience.
Worst customer service! Booked an appointment with Doctor Maloney at Lutherville office; however when I got there was told that appointment was at Mercy. Yet, I called that morning to confirm appointment at Mercy. When I called appointment desk they left me on hold for over 7 minutes and never came back to the phone!
Dr. Campbell performed reconstructive surgery on my severely arthritic and damaged tendons of my right foot and ankle. He and his staff are fantastic. I had my doubts that it would ever be normal and I would be forever struggling to walk with severe pain. I am now pain free and walking like a normal person. I feel awesome. It is a long recuperation, be patient. Dr. Campbell and his staff have the expertise and experience to perform what I consider a miracle.I highly recommend them. Do not go one day longer struggling with pain. Thank you Dr. Campbell and all the staff at Mercy Foot and Ankle Center.
I’ve had 2 surgeries with Dr. Campbell and numerous visits over the past 10 years. He’s always kind and compassionate and makes informed decisions about my treatment. My husband and parents go to him also now! He’s the only foot and ankle orthopedist I will ever go to.
Today I had extensive damage repaired in my right ankle resulting from a fall performed by a surgeon in Virginia. After a MRI report and two other surgeons saw and reported the injury Dr. Campbell did not see anything. He claimed to see arthritis which thr other doctors saw very little amounts. Dr. Campbell's attitude was flippant and rushed. I also had been to see a neurologist for nerve study which showed a pinched nerve affecting some foot pain. Dr. Campbell said my neurology issues were in my head. The photos of my injury from the surgery showed that my ankle tendon had a large tear splitting it in half. Fortunately my Doctor in Fredericksburg saw and was able to repair my ankle injury. Avoid this doctor.
Had my right ankle replacement in August 2019 with Dr.Campbell I have been pain free since. Would recommend Mercy and Dr. Campbell to all my friends and family being pain free after suffering for years feels amazing.
I had Cartiva surgery on my big toe with Dr. Campbell. He was wonderful as were all of the people who assisted him. If I have other problems, I will only go there. Our feet are so important and we need to have the best take care of them. Thank you Dr. Campbell and all of your assistants.
I was treated at the Lutherville office by Dr. Gary Pichney and had surgery at Mercy Hospital, for a right fusion of the 2nd and 3rd tarsal-metatarsal joints. From the very first appointment with Dr. Pichney he was extremely cordial and explained everything to me with the xrays to back it up. He did not push for the surgery, but after speaking with him, I knew he was the doctor to perform the surgery. After having to spend 8 weeks nonweight bearing and an additional 7 weeks in the air cast, I am back on my foot and have experienced none of my pre-surgery pain. I also followed his instructions to the "T." I would return to Dr. Pichney if and when other problems occur in a heartbeat and want to once again thank him.
I really enjoyed the hospital at Mercy. Enjoy them prayer over the loudspeaker three times a day. I’m grateful to have once again Dr. Lew Schon operate on my ankle. I trust him and he is able to accomplish new innovative methods when needed
