I've had the pleasure of working at Integrity House for 9+ years and I can say that this journey has been nothing short of incredible. Coming into the organization as a recent graduate leadership has mentored and invested into my professional development at every step. If working for an employer that cares about you while doing work that changes lives is a priority for you, then Integrity House is definitely where you want to be!
There are too many issues to list with the Secaucus facility. The treatment of clients in the long term program is borderline inhumane and medical treatment is drastically lacking. To say Integrity House is there to help people is a laughable to say the least. It is an outdated concept designed to help with the reintegration of convicts to society and it is statistically proven ineffective. Substance abuse treatment is just another avenue Integrity House has found they can exploit and milk the state of tax payer money. Any recovery or behavioral modification that occurs at Integrity House is thanks to the clients and their dedication to becoming a better version of themselves. It is more likely you'd find successful recovery and personal growth anywhere else in the world outside of the oppressive machine that is Integrity House. I honestly feel most walk away from their time at Integrity with more issues both mental and physical than they had when first entering the facility.
This program was amazing. I really appreciate all the staff did for me. Ms. Kayla is amazing . Ms. Truddy there are no words for the help you have given me. I appreciate you always. Ms. Truddy for president... Butterfly!!!
I worked @Intergrity House Bate Program for 10 years and moved on to work in different programs throughout the years, I have to say this was one of the best places I worked in, they are there for their clients, understanding, their files are kept tight and bonus were the best. So, I will always be grateful to this program. Also the best, best thing i got from here is that I met my wonderful hubby there which he recently passed. I pass by 2x a week just to remember my experience there. The rose garden was one of my favorite places which was name after one of the most caring counselors from the end of the 80’s, Thanks to all the workers there for all the hard work! Keep up the good work!!!
Integrity House is a great place to grow and develop in this field. Started as a part time residential aide and within a year was given the opportunity to kick start my counsleing career. My experience at Integrity House has helped to cultivate my clinical development to better assist clients with maintaining long term recovery.
The Integrity House Newark has a very effective program to offer individuals who are READY to heal their lives. The staff is a pleasure to work with and very connected to their vision as it reflects in ALL their attitudes. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate to not only their patients, but also their supporting friends and family members. Because of my experience with Integrity House as a supporting family member of one of their patients who is thriving for the first time in their lives due to the help offered at this place, I would recommend this facility and their resources to anyone who is seeking professional treatment. Again, not only did the program help my family member, but it also helped me in many ways to be able to support them on their journey to mental stability and sobriety to share one important example. I’m very happy to know because of Integrity House their is still hope for people who are not well.
Short term recommends all clients go to long term for money. I told a staff member that medication was disappearing off the med cart. She told me to speak to the Director of Short term who told ME that I wasn’t missing medication I was taking it. Happened to more then one client. Last day I was there a whole bottle of a girls medication went missing. The Medcart is locked to all clients except staff. Which means staff, most likely the nurse was taking extra medication from the short term clients. When client complained nurse lied and said client was no longer prescribed medication but nurse screwed up not realizing client had just got a refill for that specific medication. So she WAS being prescribed it. Freezing in winter time. IOP was a disaster clients coming up dirty even though there was no way they got high. Didn’t believe it til it happened to me. Said I came up dirty for something I never took. Director of IOP instead of asking what happened out of concern or try and figure the situation out asked me if I had any WARRANTS!? And if I was on DRUG COURT!? Looked extremely suspicious. This lady obviously was switching out clients clean urines for dirty. I really hope she was fired. Staff changes constantly. No one knows what’s going on whose running group. Sat on a couch for 21 days in short term bc there were no groups and when complaint was brought up staff told us well this is your recovery you have to do it. Well if I didn’t need HELP I wouldn’t be here. Finally had to have my trusted IOP not affiliated tell these bozos they weren’t sending me to long term, they told me short term and that’s all I had to do. Probation officers and Drug Courts; listen to you’re clients when they are telling you something. This place was corrupt. And I’m not even on probation or drug court but I watched them suffer bc they felt almost trapped. This place is all about money nothing more. Recovery is far from this place.
NO recovery, stay in one room ALL day, some women literally sleep on the floor/couch, worst part of Newark possible, 3 meals NO snacks ONE drink per meal, THEY DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS NOR PROVIDE DETOX, they don't let you go to sleep until 9pm, and you have to take UAs in a LINE. Front desk staff in actual building are beautiful people other staff not so much. I literally had gallbladder surgery a week in and NO ONE showed up to pick me up at discharge I had to take the bus!!!!
Extremely disappointed at the quality of this program. The intake department was very difficult to work with and claimed they lost my information and then the computers supposedly went down for 4 days. They didn't return phone calls after leaving over 6 messages. Once I finally got into the program the housing was very dirty and poorly maintained. The counsellors didn't make any effort to help you with one on one time or to make appointments to see the doctor. There were only 2 groups the whole day each an hour long. Both of which were run by the patients in the house and usually was just a bunch of nonsense. Lots of down time and basically no positive recover help. Once there you are forced to sign up for welfare and food stamps which they keep, along with charging your insurance. Most of the staff was very rude and unprofessional. Food quality was pretty much terrible and servings were very small. Each meal you only got a small cup of kool aid type juice and were not allowed refills. All day and night long people played loud rap music nonstop. There is basically nothing positive I can say about this program. Do yourself a favor and unless you are forced to go here for drug court or other legal reasons, do more research and find a better program that will actually benefit you if you are serious about recovery. Because this is surely not the place. Best of luck and God bless.
Horrible, totally irresponsible and unorganized, they lost my debit card and 50 dollars cash I had,I don't recommend this place at all.
