Inwood Country Club

For the past couple of years, I have had privilege to play on one of the nations premier old course. It is more of a link style golf course. I must compliment the staff who make the golf outing a very special day. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are presented with attentiveness. If have an opportunity to go, treat yourself.

We held our wedding reception here in Fall of 2017. Inwood CC was such an elegant venue, management was very accommodating, every detail was well thought-out & executed, the food was amazing, and the service was outstanding! We had been searching throughout Long Island & Nassau County for a reception location that struck the right balance between the classiness of the venue, the quality of the food, the reasonableness of the price, event privacy, & the flexibility to customize details. Inwood was honestly the perfect match for us, & I cannot recommend it highly enough! We also used & strongly recommend Genesis Events DJ/MC, Stefans Florist, Silverfox Photography, Camelot Limos, & Front Street Bakery. Coordination with Management & Event Planning: We coordinated with the assistant manager Josephine regularly throughout the process of planning our wedding. She was very thorough & accommodating - an absolute pleasure to work with. She ensured that our guests would be welcomed with light refreshments directly following our wedding ceremony, alleviating the 2-hour gap between our ceremony & cocktail hour. Within 2 weeks of outlining the main details & menu options for our event, we received a precise & reasonable cost estimate from the venue manager Benny, which helped us to make our final determination on the venue with little delay. Menu Planning & Food Quality: We were also able to craft a first-class cocktail hour, dinner menu, & dessert buffet with the club chef, Anthony - a well-seasoned chef with decades of fine dining culinary experience. He had excellent ideas which turned out amazingly; our guests raved about the food throughout the night & for weeks to come. Our cocktail hour was breathtaking. Our guests were floored by the display & options available, including antipasto, pasta, sushi/stir-fry, carving, & seafood stations, + passing hors d'oeuvres. For entrees, he prepared a demi-glaced & garnished filet mignon, panko-crusted halibut, chicken saltimbocca, & vegan wild mushroom risotto, each seasoned and prepared with an assortment of paired sides. The wedding cake & venetian hour desserts by Front Street Bakery in Rockville Center were delicious, including an assortment of pastries, cookies, cordials, espresso, gelato, sorbets, fruits & berries. An open bar was also provided at the start of the cocktail hour & through the course of the evening, including a quality selection of beers, wines, & cocktails. Venue/Facility: The main country club building served as the venue for our wedding reception, including a vast lobby, bar area, & beautiful dining area. The dining area is surrounded by windows looking out to the golf course & a clear view of the NYC skyline, with an ample dance floor located in the center of the room. The grounds are meticulously maintained & served as an ideal backdrop for our wedding photos. Service: The service staff was excellent, with the logistics of each stage of the evening having clearly been well planned & coordinated. My wife & I enjoyed a private cocktail hour room & a bridal attendant personally looking after us for the whole evening. Our guests received their orders promptly & with little delay within or between tables. Each space was meticulously prepared for the cocktail hour, first dance, dinner, wedding cake, and venetian portions of the evening, with ample & professional staffing throughout. Bottom line: Inwood CC is a fantastic location for anyone looking to host a wedding with great food, service, & style!

Went for a golf outing with corrections union COBA. It was amazing! Golf course was a little tough but beautiful. Hospitality was great from staff and food was amazing.

Went to a really nice party here. The food was great the wait staff was nice and we had a very nice afternoon. Country clubs are really not my thing because I don’t play golf. But this very nice birthday party was very enjoyable and the food selection and quality was top notch. If we lived in the area this would definitely be on my list as a great event space. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and it’s nicely secluded. An oasis near jfk airport!!

I worked at Inwood for a season as the concierge. The staff is impeccable; but the club doesn’t pay its employees an officiant living wage. Minimum wage is all that is offered; tipping is also unavailable at this club so it makes it harder for the staff to maintain a high working ethic. Employees were dropping like flies or just not found while I was there. Unfortunately the club isn’t near any public transit either and a car is a necessity. I went above & beyond for the club used my own car to go shopping for the club, stayed and worked events as a server or just helped cleaning, I helped create center pieces for parties, along with marketing menus and was let go at the end of Feb a few weeks before opening instead of terminating my position in Dec when the club closed. Keep in mind during my time there it was continuously agreed that I’d be back the following season. It was very unprofessional of them to let me go on such short notice before the season was to start. But that’s businesss! Everyone from the office staff to the kitchen staff is amazing! You won’t find better golf pros or better cooks! & if you want someone to go above & beyond for your event; Josephine & Heidi are the ladies to ask for! Great place to be just not a great place to work!

Great life style, wonderful staff and members. Home of the 1921 PGA championship and 1923 US Open; Bobby Jones' first US open win. The course is great, mostly a links course. Best of all, the spectacular beach club a few miles away on Atlantic Beach, which my family enjoys all weekend long.
