Dr. Sorentino at MercyOne is fantastic and has incredible nurses who care about you and your needs. Her team and their dedication to patient care is fantastic, and honestly unmatched. I had all of my questions answered and was well taken care of. She is probably one of my favorite doctors that I have ever worked with. However, the staff outside of Dr. Sorentino and her team is why I did not give the establishment five stars. Anytime you go in for an appointment, be prepared to wait at least 20-30 minutes after your set appointment time to get called back from the waiting room, whether you arrive early or on time. Each time that I call about any question or insurance request, I am on hold for over 20 minutes. I completely understand being busy, but I have been hung up on a few times while on hold which is frustrating. However, if you finally get ahold of a nurse or team member behind the scenes, they are fantastic. If you can get past the wait times both on the phone and for appointments, it is worth the wait. The doctors and nurses that work in all of the specialties, ESPECIALLY Dr. Sorentino, her amazing nurses, Stephanie, Terry, and Amy, and the rest of the team all deserve incredible accolades.
Absolutely horrible service. As a former healthcare professional, I can honestly say this is the worst treatment we have ever received from a medical facility. We as patients are expected to be on time, but the staff has no issue with being 30+ minutes late to treat us. No explanations were given, and the receptionists were rude and acted inconvenienced that we dared ask about anything.
Terrible service. Hard to get a hold of someone, never answer phones!
Heart rate went up to 150 and called paramedics. Called Iowa heart and still have not heard back from them. Not taken seriously.
Very compassionate care . They are invested in your health and really listen .
