Iowa National Guard - Recruiting

Staff Sergeant Drilling is the best Recruiter I've met. Paperwork went super smooth. He was able to explain everything that was being signed what would happen during MEPs and never left me hanging. Very glad to have worked with him for my enlistment.

Staff Sergeant Drilling is one of the best recruiters I have had the pleasure to work with. He is willing to sit down and lay everything out no matter how long it takes, and he does so with honesty. He is willing to help you lose weight, and will show up to the gym with you, he shares his personal life and experiences with potential recruits. Working with him builds not only a friendship, but trust. He continues to talk to soldiers long after recruitment, and in my case I wasnt able to serve, we remain friends to this day. Ill send a text or call, and Staff Sergeant will answer, give me advice, his opinion on how to accomplish the path you wish to take, even just to talk for awhile and catch up. Overall I value Staff Sergeant Drilling's Army values, and his friendship. I'm glad I was able to forge a lasting friendship with a great man, and soldier.

SSG Drilling was very helpful with whatever I needed help with throughout the past several months. Everyone I met here was very helpful, inspiring and enjoyable to talk to.

Where do I begin? Definitely the best decision I've made. I've met people I would've never met because of the guard I am in better shape than I have ever been in. I've experienced things I wouldn't have got to experience without the guard whether it be shooting machine guns or flying in a black hawk. Definitely something to look into!

Joining the guard was the best decision Ive made. I couldn't have gotten through it without SSG Shane Drilling pushing me through it! He is willing to do whatever it takes to help others reach their goals in their military career! He's honest, thorough, and fun to work with. The national guard is a great path to take.
