Learn to defend yourself. Krav Maga is a no nonsense, straight-to-the-point, self-defense system founded on practicality, effectiveness and simplicity. No rules, no trophies, no giis. Invented by a man named Imi Lichtenfeld for use by the Jewish Underground Resistance during World War II for defense against the Nazi's and Brown-Shirts, Krav Maga was quite literally "born from combat" and "for combat". Today, the Israeli Krav Maga Association (IKMA), is headed by Imi's highest ranked student, Grand Master Haim Gidon, and has been adapted for both Law Enforcement and Civillian applications. Israeli Krav Maga (Gidon System) will teach you how to defend yourself in a manner that "makes sense", while building upon your own natural instincts and reflexes. Krav Maga is designed for both men and women, regardless of size, age, or physical ability. Krav Maga (translating to “contact combat”), to this day, is the official, and only, self-defense system of the Israel Defense Forces.
