Issara in the Thai language describes the lotus blossom arising from the water and moving towards the sunlight. It symbolises the freedom and purity of the body, mind, and spirit to bring happiness into one’s life.
Issara Yoga is a signature authentic yoga developed by Sirichai. Using the lotus blossom as its metaphor, the practice of Issara Yoga is built on self-awareness and, like the lotus, encourages an openness in life and an embrace of the light around you.
I started practicing yoga in 2004 with Yoga Guru in Sarawak Kuching, Malaysia. I learned Hatha, Iyengar Ashtanga, Bikram, Yin, Vinyasa and Flow. In 2011 I created Issara Yoga under my name Sirichai Sirisatkun.
