Istanbul Cafe and Restaurant

Go here if you wanna be in a nice looking place to hang out but don't go for the food. Service took forever and when my food came everything was cold! And they were not busy the restaurant only had a few people in it. Hope they work on sending food out faster and hot.

You would expect to hear good words for a Turkish cuisine in general. Here most of the dishes are not consistent. You may eat best of one thing and worst of other one day and vice a versa the other. But the bigger problem is service. Probably all waiters start training here and leave in 3 months. He brings the plate no silverware. You wait, nothing. you have to find the waiter again and ask for it. I was invited to a party tonight and kind of expected what went through. There was no waiter who knew what he was doing. At least have some sort of dress code for attendants. No water service in a place serving with cloth napkin. No glass for drinks; Served with can. 45 min. Passed after starters served to receive entrees. I can write for another paragraph but this gives a clue. Another problem... I don't think they even realize any of these problems. So here is a heads up for the owners...

Great location, awesome space for parking. Foods are amazing. French toast and omelet with feta cheese is super delicious. I went twice while visiting NJ.

Sunday/mother’s day worst day ever, I loved this place but this day was unbelievable starting with the waitress I ask for water for my son of course the rest of us she only brought a cup a water for my baby and I have to ask her again for water for the rest too, appetizer were amazing and then we have to wait for the main dish/the grill over an hour or more then I realized people who just sat were getting they’r food and us still waiting, the waitress for MIA all the time not baking the manager he was trying to accommodate us but he needs to manage more his employees and be aware of there sorroinding specially if they saw us faces, for now not going back and not recommending this restaurant anymore, what. A mother’s day for me and my mom, at the end we left couldn’t wait any longer for the food !

Delicious!!! I highly recommend their mixed grill! The photo is real! Believe what you see not what you hear/read. Please believe what I wrote. 😋
