I hired Ivory Carter Enterprises a few months ago to repair the stucco on my patio home. Both he and his crew were very professional and did great work with as little disruption as possible. I have since hired them again to do some further work and upgrades to my home and was once again impressed with their professionalism and work product. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I am a realtor. Greg and his crew did work for one of my clients. He was professional from start to end and completed the work in the set time for the budgeted amount. He left the premises neat and tidy and the work looks top class. The required City of Houston inspection was done and he will provide a warranty for his work. I would not hesitate to use him again and will definitely highly recommend him to future clients that have stucco needs.
Excellent! Greg was very responsive, professional and competitively priced. In fact we ended up doing more cosmetic improvements than what we originally planned doing repair work at the time due to the way Greg treated us from a pricing perspective. They started the very next day good timing on our part as we caught him between projects and we were very happy with the work ethic, courtesy and professionalism demonstrated by Greg and his team. We highly recommend Ivory Carter to anyone needing stucco or stone work. Thank you Greg!
I hired Ivory Carter Enterprises to correct some stucco defects and water damage to my townhouse in Houston last year. I found Greg Carter to be one of the most reliable, conscientious, and professional building contractors I have dealt with. The work was completed on time and the quality of the work--the painting and blending of the repairs with the older stucco surfaces, for example--to be excellent. His crew is equally professional, conscientious, and courteous.
On time, on budget, clear and professional. Greg and his experienced crew took care repairing bad workmanship by original builder and proposed a solution that was thorough and sensible. The work was completed on budget, within the specified timeframe and with the utmost professionalism. Throughout the process, Greg kept me apprised of the progress, city inspection reports and what was happening day to day. On top of everything, Greg did his own inspection to ensure everything was solid and aesthetically complete. These guys know what they're doing.
We had a fantastic experience with this company. I cannot rave enough. Greg was wonderful and arrived at my house 1 hour after I called for a quote! The most impressive thing was how responsive he was .....he replied to emails, texts and messages within minutes, he always arrived at the time he stated, as did his team. The work they did was excellent. When we had a small problem, he responded immediately even though he was away on vacation and sorted it out promptly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company!
Ivory Carter Enterprises took care of our stucco issues in a very professional, timely and workmanlike manner. Greg Carter was very responsive to all our inquiries. Furthermore, the stucco on our townhome looks great.
I bought a "new" home which had water leakage and rotting wood due to improper flashing and lack of water resistance behind stucco. Ivory Cater came in, diagnosed, pulled and replaced stucco and rotten wood.....replaced everything and improved the flashing around the gutters and chimney. The contractor was courteous, on time and finished the job ahead of schedule. Good job and highly recommended contractor.
After a truck damaged our Porte Co-chere at the main entrance to our Club and with Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, Ivory Cater Enterprises not only came to the rescue and completed the repairs within 24 hours, they did a fabulous job. Gregory Carter, owner visited the site multiple times and much to my surprise, he and his crew showed a month later to apply another coat. He said he wasn't happy due to the weather and rain while the crew applied stucco previously and that he wanted to put on another coat. I couldn't tell because teh Porte Co-Chere looked better than ever.
Greg Carter of Ivory Carter Enterprises did horrible stucco repairs and provided a beyond horrible product support. He caused us a lot of frustration and hassle. Few weeks after completion, his repairs started falling apart. Signs of failure were all over the place and growing at an alarming rate worse than pre-repairs. Several perimeter and moisture cracks in his stucco were very long and wide-enough that you could see the underlying wood through them. We had trusted him to do repairs due to a referral by a stucco inspector. Before repairs, we sent him inspection reports indicating the need for repairs. He stated: “I see exactly what the problem is. I have a fix.” and “This is a pretty straight forward repair for me. I have done dozens up dozens just like this.” and “Please rest assured that I will do a very good job and that the finished product will cause you no reason for concern.” He fooled us, did a shoddy work, took a lot of money ~$14,000 and did not stand by his work. We obtained 2 post-repair reports by 2 inspection firms describing all repair deficiencies and damages in repaired areas. He still kept denying damages and attempted to bully his way out. On top of several inspectors, we brought several stucco contractors to check out repairs/issues. Total of 11. They said: these are warranty calls. Experts said: repairs not only fixed original issues but made them worse. Contractors said: sometimes we do bad jobs too but we stand by our work. Instead of listening to all these experts he was extremely rude worst we’ve seen so far and did not honor the warranty on repairs per contract. Instead he kept coming up with baseless nonsense that according to attorneys we consulted with were absurd and unreasonable attempting to just deny his obligations and get away with it. He wasted a lot of our time yet he did not even stop by for 2-min to check the aftermath of his repairs in person. A bit of history, signs of his repair’s failure cracks on walls started showing up just few weeks after completion. We notified him. His solution: had his young and inexperienced guys just caulk the cracks. That took ~30-min to do; we could’ve done it ourselves. In a month, same cracks came back longer/wider. Again, we notified him. Instead of truly figuring out why cracks keep coming back and fix the main source of repair problem, he gave us a hard time and sent over his guys to just caulk the cracks again. They created an eyesore with all the caulking lines on walls and ruined the look of property. We complained at the time; they said when we leave and paint on caulking dries, lines disappear. That never happened. He gave us a hard time and attempted to fool us by: “Understand the stucco is cement and it will crack. It is the nature of the product” and “future cracking will not be addressed further”] yet months later when we sent him the inspection reports pointing-out all issues/damages, he says: “All I see is few cracks” and “I will schedule the cracks to be caulked in the *next 60 days*” and “I will do that under warranty. Nothing else is covered under my warranty”. Horrible and irrational statements because caulking the same cracks in the past/future is similar to fooling ourselves by brushing glaring issues under the carpet; no thanks. Cracks were symptoms that something was fundamentally wrong with his repairs which he refused to fix and instead kept attempting to fool us by: this is just a “simple caulking issue”. So simple that it would take “60 days” to address?! Ridiculous. His horrible-quality workmanship, dysfunctional repairs, and not holding himself accountable, ended up costing us another $13,000+ to repair something that was supposed to be “repaired” already. We removed his stucco in “repaired” areas and saw firsthand the damages. We also saw what he had done wrong. The level of negligence was shocking. We documented everything to sue him. He was very unprofessional for not taking responsibility for his horrible misconduct while he was paid a lot of money to do the job right. We are in the process of suing him.
