J Hara Store

Wish this store would carry more of the fishing lures i love to use. I used to shop this store often but i don't as much these days. I find myself ordering my favorite fishing lures on the makers site more than spending money in this store. That would change if they would listen to what the customer wants.

Worth going by every couple of weeks. Always rotating merchandise and managing product availability. Huge variety and selection on tons of different activity-related products, from archery to firearms to fishing to camping and more. Great prices, and these guys are super helpful. Any outdoors enthusiast or hobbyist would love to drop in.

I've bought a few things from JHS in Kaimuki over the years. Fishing rods and tackle, dive fins, archery gear...been very happy with selection and prices. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Brought my bow to them yesterday to reinsert a peep sight, and James stoked me out by tying in the peep! With line matching the bow string, too! Staff have always been helpful on the phone also. Aloha, I just wanted to send a quick note of praise for Bryce at the Kaimuki store. I recently visited him for help getting a small setup for my wife and I to start fishing as we haven't done any since we were kids and Bryce was extremely helpful. After just giving Bryce my budget and plans, he quickly helped me around collecting all the perfect items and thoroughly explained how to use them together. Couldn't ask for any better service than he provided. I will be back again soon for more gear and will happily recommend the store to anyone else looking for fishing gear. With the decline of quality service at most businesses it was a really refreshing experience to be helped with honest enthusiasm and no attempts to oversell me on things I did not yet need, Thanks again!

James from J Hara is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Bought my new Hoyt bow there and he set it up , paper tuned it, and got me rocking and rolling. Great customer service, much more helpful than any of the other shops I’ve been in in Hawaii.

Had a "cheers" kind of vibe, but for a sporting store...where everyone knows your name. Store wasnt that big yet they had a good selection of items for fishing and hunting firearms & bow & arrow. Now I know where to go for my camo clothes.

first time going to J.Hara and was impressed. small store but I found everything I needed. good selection of muzzleloader equipment from primers to bullets and powders. if I bought that online it would be cheaper but not much cheaper but when u factor in shipping and hazmat cost u can beat the short drive to J.Hara store. service was friendly people were helpful and now my new place for muzzleloader equipment. My favorite store to shop at for my hunting and fishing needs before I leave oahu. If ever need anything they’ll Ship it quickly just in time for the weekend.
