Long before I was born my father opened "Owens Bakery". It was one of the first West Indian Bakeries open in the early 70's in Brooklyn. I grew up surrounded around good food, good pastries and good freshly made drinks. As a kid I always wanted food that tasted the best, and as an adult not much has changed. I started baking and cooking when I was around 9 years old, my palate was developing, which led me to experiment with different takes on all types of foods. I always started with just a simple recipe and I would just keep at it until I felt that it was perfect.
My cakes are one of a kind, because I bake from the heart first. Food is very emotional for me, and I hope it is for you too. My goal is to revolutionize my cakes so that the taste will be so unique that you will do whatever it takes to have it!
