J Lounge Hookah Bar

The atmosphere was okay however, I never been to hookah so I didn't have any idea what to do. The staff wasn't helpful and I definitely could've used the assistants. The gentleman who brought out the hookah just sitting it on the table and left. I Also wished I would've known it was BYOB they didn't have anything to drink, not really sure if they had food or not but it would have been a nice addition.

I love my people. And I want to support black businesses but this establishment needs some work. Servers need to be more attentive. It’s a hookah lounge; why do your patrons have to wait over an hour to have coals put on their hookah? I love the music and environment but y’all need more hookah servers than just one girl. Update! I had to update to a 1 star because I was just told it was baby girls day off. This establishment is very unprofessional. I don’t even know how they can call themselves a Shisha lounge when they can’t even do the hookah right. I’m sorry but y’all need new management.

By far, this is the best hookah lounge in Kansas City! The vibe is super chill! There’s a diverse crowd! The music is great & its always a good time! The owner is friendly & always checks on the patrons! Would highly recommend!

Every weekend there is noise after 3Am in the parking lot. No consideration of the residents around there that are very close. I’ve called and called to speak someone about the issue but no one answers. You’re closed after 3am so why is there still noise afterwards ? I’ll making calls to the police. I’ve been a resident in the area for 4 years with no problem until last year. Get it together man

First, let me say this, the atmosphere and the vibe was everything. I had such a great time with my girls. I recommend coming here if you’re in town and not too familiar with where to go. I’ll definitely return if I’m ever in town

This place is awesome. The walls are covered by artworkthat looks amazing, prices are great and the seating was comfortable and plenty of room. Plus the place uses coconut coals. What made this place stand out though was the amazing waitress Danielle. She was way more than just a pretty face. I asked her to pick a flavor and she made something amazing. She made sure my coals were on point and she was always smiling. I've been to hookah lounges all over the country but I'll make it a point to come back here.

I've been to a lot of hookah bars, but J lounge is by far the coolest. The paint on the walls and floor looked AWESOME with their blacklights. Service was awesome too. We ordered a flavor that we didnt care for and the owner noticed that we weren't touching it and hooked us up with a new bowl on the house!

I would have rated this business 5 stars just based on my initial experience, but now I wish I could rate them higher. First off, the hookah was great, coffee was incredible, and service was stellar. The owner is a stand up guy who tried to chase after me when I left my wallet behind, but I was already gone. I managed to get ahold of him the next day after I was back in New York and he went out of his way to immediately mail it to me. There was nothing missing even though I told him to use my cash to mail it and take some for himself, he didn't even do that. Complete gentleman, and definitely the type of person I prefer to give my business to.

Paid cover at the door with a friend. Walk in and there’s nowhere to sit the place is tiny. Bought cups and juice at the bar for the alcohol we brought. So I’m standing and one of the employees is cleaning up a hookah behind me and burns my coat, but says nothing until after I smelt the burning. Finally sit down and our friends get there at this time, they’re buying hookah but we’re told there’s only two people per hookah and if we didn’t buy one of our own we had to leave..didn’t get told this until AFTER we paid for everything and they damaged a $400 coat. We tell them that our friends are buying hookah but they had an attitude and said we needed to buy ANOTHER hookah or we could leave. At this time the attitude made me not want to purchase anything else... will never go back
