J's Teriyaki and Pub

By far the nicest folks with the best Teriyaki in town for sure. The most spicy food you can handle if you ask for it. I truly hope you get to try this place out. I had the hot and spicy chicken EXTRA SPICY as you can see and it pretty much defeated me. I finished my plate enjoying every bite while trying not to scorch my plate with my fire breath with my wife laughing beside me. REALLY REALLY good food. The house dressing is amazing as well. Great portions with speedy and great service.

I ordered the Spicy chicken plate, it was AMAZING! Not super spicy. Large portion! The egg rolls were delicious! I think it beats Love Love Teriyaki out of the water. I have already ordered from J’s again because it’s so good and I highly recommend it!

The owners were very friendly! Great service and made sure we were satisfied with our food and experience dining in. The food was fantastic!!! I ordered the grilled chicken kabobs with a side salad the mushrooms were a delicious edition to the kabob my husband ordered chicken yakisoba and my brother ordered spicy chicken dish and everyone was blown away by the quality and the amount of food we received! We also got egg rolls and we loved how they were cut and presented. So good! The house dressing is SO GOOD. It’s citrus ginger and is refreshing in this hot summer heat wave. I want to buy it as a bottle! Y’all need to check this place out and spread the word!!!

Bomb! Visiting Salem for the first time and Oregon and needed fuel for the Ironman tomorrow. The chicken rice bowl was so good! The homemade sauce on the spicy chicken was delicious. Friendly service and affordable prices.

I can not put into words how amazing this food was; everything taste exceptionally fresh; as a seasoned foodie myself this restaurant was beyond my tastebuds expectations; the protein was perfectly marinated, veggies steamed to perfection and can we talk about his home made hot sauce that sauce almost took me took me out in spicy way. Owner is super simply phenomenal and took time to chat with us and I was truly able to see his passion for cooking.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Best Teriyaki Place In Salem!!! First off the owner was present and spoke with me, he made me feel welcomed and told me a little about the restaurant. Him and his wife owns the place, and everything is made fresh. I ordered a teriyaki chicken plate, and a spicy teriyaki chicken bowl w/ gyoza as a side. This food is the best!!! The spicy chicken was delicious, juicy, and fresh!!!! The salad was delicious, and the rice was perfectly sticky. I love everything about what we ordered. They will accommodate any amount of spicy you like. I love super spicy! This place was so clean you could eat off the floor! The food was delicious, decent price, and the hospitality was superb. I will definitely be going back! I added some pictures we couldn’t help but eat some of it first, especially the gyoza! Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options!!! Kid-friendliness: They have kind friendly options, and are super friendly!!’ Wheelchair accessibility: They have good parking!

Good teriyaki but expensive. Like way expensive. Inflation hurts us all I guess. On top of the high price, portions were small. Side salad was served in a little sauce plastic. Really? Look, the food was tasty but I am not rich enough to eat here on a regular basis.

I recommend this place for anyone, especially families with picky eaters. The Place is DELICIOUS. Inexpensive, and Worth every Penny!!! You will not be disappointed. I asked for only broccoli for vegetables due to my surgery and they didn’t skimp on the protein either. The broccoli was defiantly fresh and not overcooked. The beef wasn’t dry, and was cooked perfectly. I also ordered gyoza, and they were sooooooo good!! The past I’ve had in Salem PERIOD! I ate them so fast, I forgot to take a picture! The establishment is clean, and the staff are very friendly. I spoke to the owner today, and he was so nice. The owners are a nice married, who take pride in their restaurant. Vegetarian options: Vegetables, rice, noodles/ yakisoba, and alternatives. Kid-friendliness: Clean and safe establishment, many food options. Parking: Please of parking available. Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of parking & there is handicapped parking from what I saw.

The new owners are both very friendly and love doing what they are doing. Nice clean retaurant. I got the chicken terriyaki and gyoza and both were very delicious. The foos definitely better now with the new owners. My chicken was not too charred for a change compared to previously. I will now be a regular. My husband got the spicy chicken which he asked for it to be extra spicy and it was delicious. If you love extra spicy then ask for the owners extra spicy seasoning. They make all of their sauces in house. They have the best terriyaki sauce. Also try their house salad dressing. I really didnt want the dressing at first because I usually hate anything with ginger but this dressing changed my mind. Omg it's so yummy which I could drink.lol. I want that salad dressing on everything. The new owners have so many new plans for the restaurant which are going to amazing. I can't wait to see the new changes. There is going to be a nice sushi bar in the future. The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere that makes it a nice place to hang out. How about you give them a chance and try them out today.... I got the teriyaki chicken with steamed vegetables, it was so delicious. The veggies needed a bit of salt or seasoning, but mixed with the chicken it was great. Will definitely buy again.
