This is a really, REALLY great management company! I have lived in my apartment for 4 years now and I just renewed another 2 year lease! I have a 2 bedroom apartment and for the amount in rent that my roommate and I pay, you simply cannot beat the price! The apartment is spacious for Brooklyn/NYC area, gets amazing natural lighting and the building itself is well-kept! The live-in super, laundry in the building and elevator in building are 3 of the biggest and nicest factors about this entire apartment building! It wasn't until I started looking around for other apartments in NYC specifically, that I realized just how lucky I actually am, that I have ALL 3!!! Definitely recommend this building and company, to everyone out there!!! Couldn't be happier!!! 5 stars, all around!!! :

They unfathomably did not pay our utility bill ?! — confirmed by ConEd — and so we have been without hot water for 24 hours and the hallways are pitch black and extremely dangerous for older residents. Absolutely and beyond inexcusable. Also we have regular water shutoffs with zero notice whatsoever. We love the building and community, but a management company failing to pay a utility bill is something I have never heard of it and it blatantly violates the warranty of habitability that we signed with the lease. Revolting.

Current tenant. -they dont pay their utility bills and hot water has been shut off in our building, along with electricity in hallways which is pretty dangerous in a multi story walkup -they randomly shut off water because of “emergencies” but never tell us what those emergencies are. seems like something we should know!! -their buildings are infested with roaches. like, more than the average nyc apartment -but hey, at least they give us QR codes for half off drinks at random bars?? to make up for the pain of having a management company that turns of peoples’ water and DOESNT PAY THE UTILITY BILLS?????

UPDATE: this management company has now been terrible. I’ve had water damage in my bathroom over 5 times now and the issue has taken weeks to resolve. I emailed and said I will be withholding rent until the issue was fixed and then they had the audacity to call me and ask why my rent is late. DO NOT RECOMMEND Israel has been very responsive to all my requests and has been a breeze to work with! Our building last management company was hell to work with, and I’m so glad that this company has taken over! Thanks!

We moved into a building that is managed by J Wasser & Company in November. The team has been wonderful to work with. Every email I send gets a prompt response and if work is needed around the apartment, they've sent someone within a day or two of the conversation. Coming from my last building where I had to wait a few days, getting assistance a day or two later is phenomenal. Also, I love a building that allows you to pay electronically. My last building required a check or money order to be mailed every month, there is such a comfort and peace of mind that comes from paying rent from your phone.

I'm happy with the rapport I've been able to establish with J Wasser. It took a while, but results are satisfactory. The past couple of years were certainly challenging for landlords and tennants alike, albeit for different reasons. I'm glad they are my management company in NYC.

When an issue arise in this building I usually contact Issac at management. He's always willing to work towards a solution and ensure that is done promptly. He also listen to tenant's concerns and communicates effectively. Jose M. Bronx NY

We moved into an apartment in the 610 w 141st St bldg and it’s been pretty much nonstop problems w little to no resolution. What started out as management being at least responsive has slowly dwindled. We’ve had to ask maintenance multiple times to fix the same problems. We’ve had roaches, water leaks/flooding in the apartment, they turned off the heat and hot water multiple times in winter without notice, mold, I’m uncertain if water quality is up to par, blood, trash, even feces in staircases. The front door to the bldg is never locked. There’s nonstop loitering inside and nearby the bldg. packages are always stolen and at one point usps refused to deliver because of it. My roommate was bribed after multiple packages stolen upon move-in and maintenance requests to leave a 5 star review for a rent credit and ring camera that didn’t even happen by bldg management.

Good company. Rent is very reasonable for the amenities and space. I’ve been a tenant for going on two years. Sabrina is particularly helpful and kind!! Trash collection is solid every time.
