I LOVE THIS PLACE.  I discovered Jack Silver Formal Wear when I was in search of a suit for my wedding. They were attentive, detail oriented, fast, fun, loving and made sure I looked like a million bucks.  I recently used them again for my son's 8th grade prom.  Anyone with a skinny teenage boy can attest that finding a suit to fit the awkward little bodies is almost impossible.  But Domonique was able to find a tux that made my mini me look like a star.  They measured him and had the tux tailor fit to his body within 2 days.  I've referred all my friends to this place and they continue to amaze.

Had a great experience from start to finish they were quick affordable and friendly. They have a good selection of tuxedos and could perform quick tailoring. The service was very professional and thorough and I am extremely happy with both the quality of the tuxedo  as well as the fit. I will definitely be going back. Darin thanks for everything my son Marcel looked great for his prom and the bow tie we created look fabulous..

This is an amazing thing. Walk in. Be greeted in friendly efficient manner. Courteous staff quietly and professionally go about their business. Within 10 minutes you have been measured and fitted for tux and are back to your busy day again. 2 hours later, you go back in, pick up your now-tailored tux and head home. I mean, you gotta love NYC, right? I just can't recommend how straight forward and efficient this was. Thank you, Jack Silver.

Great place to rent a tux in NYC. My boyfriend was in a wedding recently and he was pretty freaked out about the fact that he needed a tux. I looked for several places for him and read several reviews until I landed a couple. The girl that helped us was very knowledgeable and could guess the size just with a glance. The rental also comes with all the accessories and shoes great bonus and the process to pick it up try and return couldn't be simpler. Will come back as needed

The customer service was great all around. I was in a bit of a rush and they were incredibly accommodating. The tuxedo fit fine; it was a regular fit and not a slim fit and they gave me a different style tie than I requested, but it ended up looking just fine for the event. Would return if I needed to rent formal wear again

These guys know how to make you feel at home! I've been in twice with a friend who is getting married in April, so he got a head start. They were very helpful explaining the process, letting him know when he should start making up his mind.  Aside from being knowledgeable about styles and all the options they have available, everybody has good vibes. They make the process simple and make you feel at home. If you see something and they have it, they have no problem taking the time to help you try it on.  My friend has yet to decide where he wants to purchase his wedding tux, but I will keep you posted on how the purchasing/exchange process goes.

When I went to pick up my tuxedo, the first thing I noticed was the white collared shirt.  It was seriously wrinkled; it had literally just come out of the package in which it had been delivered.  They refused to iron it; they said I'd have to wait until the following day because it was too late 6:00 PM on a day when they close at 7:00 PM.  I paid $190 to rent a tuxedo and a white collared shirt, and I was handed something that hadn't been pressed?  I had to iron the shirt myself at the hotel before the wedding.  Not only that but I had been guaranteed the shirt would be slim fit; however, what I received was fairly baggy around my torso.  I looked at the tag.  It was a regular fit, not a slim fit.  I went on to learn that they did not have any slim fits in that french-cuff style, apparently. If you tell me you have slim-fit french-cuff shirts, I expect to receive a slim-fit french-cuff shirt that has been pressed nicely for the kind of money I spent.  I don't think that's ridiculous to ask for.  Then I looked at the pants. The legs were huge and baggy even though I had stated over and over many times to have everything be as slim fitting if possible. They handed me a different pair of pants which had normal size legs, but I noticed a couple problems.  First, it looked like those pants had been cuffed at the bottom, but the cuff had been released by the tailor to make the pants be flat front.  However, there was still a prominent crease at the bottom of the pants and it didn't look that great.  These pants were also at least an inch too long and really piled up on top of my shoes.  On top of receiving a ridiculously wrinkled shirt and baggy pants, I didn't feel like anyone cared at all.  No one said sorry for the mistakes or offered any sort of consolation.  Usually places like this survive on making the customer happy but I thought the customer service was abysmal.  Even when I returned my suit and I hadn't opened my mouth except to say "I'm returning this" the man behind the counter just said "OK."  He didn't even look at me, let alone smile and say thanks for your business.  I paid $190 to rent a product that was not delivered as advertised and completely absent customer service.  Maybe they'll care more if you bring in a lot of money with a big wedding party; however, I would advise you to take your business elsewhere.

The only place to get a tux in NYC. Super fast same day! service, great fit, and generally awesome experience. The fact that they got me into a great looking tux in less time than it took my drycleaner to press my shirt is amazing.

I attended a black tie event in NYC over the weekend. I was invited last minute and had to book a tuxedo on short notice. I called Jack Silver from Los Angeles and sent them my measurements. I was able to pick up my tuxedo right after I landed at JFK and attend the event. I flew out on Sunday, and unfortunately they were closed. I was able to leave my tuxedo at the front desk of the hotel and they sent someone to pick it up today. Great service, great all around experience.

They were all super friendly and went out of their way to help me get everything I needed for a price I could manage.  Tux looked amazing!  I've never had anything fit so good!  I highly recommend them, and am definitely going to use them for the next rental I need.
