Went with a group of seven on a Sunday night. It wasn't busy when we were there. Staff was friendly and service was good. I loved the wings! Drunken noodle and the big soup were the other fan favorites.
I used to dislike Korean food - I had them in Atlanta, there’s a strong presence of Korean population. I also tried Korean food in a few other states, didn’t like any of them. Jae’s cafe was the first time I came to love Korean cuisine. I have never been to Korea, but I hope this is what real Korean food suppose to taste like. The price is reasonable as well.
The atmosphere and service are great, and the food is pretty good. But for the things I got, they were a bit too small, a bit too expensive, and not tasty enough for me to really want to visit again as a vegetarian. Everyone else seemed to like their food quite a lot though, and the little appetizers they had that are ubiquitous among Korean restaurants are really good. I ordered the sweet pumpkin croquettes, steamed mushroom buns, and some liquor.
This place is overpriced and overhyped. I had the spicy pork bao bun and the pork belly sundubu. The baobun was a great fusion dish, however it was extremely over priced at $9 for what is basically 2 asian tacos. However, the subdubu was terrible. It was underseaoned and the vegetable was undercooked, and it had literally only 4 thin slices of pork belly. I can see this place being a nice place to come have a drink and some appetizers at, but if you are looking for authentic just like how mom made it korean food, this is not the place.
Yummilicous! Not typically Korean bit it's good for what it is. The bao burgers are wonderful so are the noodles. Boulgogi could be better, but still good.
Not your typical Korean joint. I would say it is a bit more fusion compares to bibim which is just Korean food. I would give the bao and wings another try because they were so delicious.
Great service and food!!! Microwaved fried chicken is my all time favourite. Lukewarm Galbi tang tastes like my homemade ‘instant’ galbi tang pack you can buy from Hmart. Plus, staffs are amazing! The dishes came out like they are ‘real’ homemade. But, I will stick with my usual, Seoul Soulongtang in Allston. :
Starters were really good, best thing we had all night were the Mandu. We were disappointed about the bibimbap, was completely flavorless.
Everything was delicious! The appetizer, entree, and drinks. The place looked really nice and it was too expensive. Highly recommended.
The place looks very cool and the food was great. They were very accommodating and the waiter let us personalise our dishes which was great. I loved the shrimp shrimp sweet chili noodles with mussels. The Korean fried chicken and homemade dumplings were also very good. Still, some things were slightly plain so the food is comforting but not excellent.
