Not as good as they use to be. No flavor. And they don’t follow instructions well at all. What happened? Why did the taste change? I asked for lean and it was all fat. I hate the fat texture. It’s so bland. I will stick to McBobs from now onFood: 1/5
I ordered the corned beef Philly through Grubhub and listen! It’s pretty tasty. They fill your sandwich with sooooo much meat I have two servings! My only changes would be to ask for lean meat and maybe extra spicy mustard. I would rate my experience 8/10. I added hot peppers when I got home which was necessary in my opinion and gave an extra kick. Worth trying again for sure!
We got multiple items. corned beef sandwich, corned beef filled egg rolls, chicken wings and turkey pastrami sandwich, anything with corned beef is delicious. And the staff are really friendly. Definitely worth a try!Food: 5/5
It was very fatty. I guess i didn’t know to say make it lean. The sandwich was decent. I spent about $20. I would pick McBobs over Jakes. I wasnt really a fan of this. Not too much flavor.Food: 3/5
Really good corn beef Philly sandwich which is generous in portion, fresh and well seasoned. Top it up with cheese, pickles and paprika, it was magical! This place was recommended by my chef brother in law and his fine dining restaurateur buddies so we had to check it out. It did not disappoint! I also love the unique and authentic vibe of this café, quite an experience!
I remember this place having the best convert sandwiches. I feel like that sized could’ve been bigger, maybe just a bit more meat or a bigger slice of bread. I asked for it toasted with Swiss my cheese wasn’t even melted, they put way to much mustard, the flavor was okay. The service was good. Over I give them a 3 because I wasn’t wowed!
Fries and egg rolls were AWESOME and I will be going back for sure for those!! My dude's corned beef sandwich was good as well!! The bread the sandwiches were on weren't my favorite but it was still good and wouldn't stop us from coming back!
Let me tell you coming from a pleasantly plump lady loll that knows food , hands down best corned beef sandwich ever!! My dad has been coming here for over 20 years and I tried it out last year I’m hooked on jakesFood: 5/5
I treated my father and he said "the sandwiches are not like how they used to be" I really enjoyed my burnt ends Sandwich. Corn beef not so much. But it was good.
Just went to Jake's and it's not the same Jakes that I'm used to. I paid $18 for pastrami sandwich and they cook the seasoning out the meat. The meat has no flavor. Pastrami is a highly flavored meat so it definitely was not a great experience. I didn't feel like a value customer the energy of the place is depressing. I understand that the food business is tough, however I would like my monies worth. I didn't get that. It a sandwich going to be a premium price give the customer quality food. I'm not mad but very disappointed
