The grace of God brought me to Dr. Berenson and I couldn’t be happier. In January 2018 my body was in a basic shut down mode. I had ignored all the signs that something might be wrong. Dr. Berenson described my condition as a “train wreck”. He started my treatment regime immediately and I have responded. While I still have a ways to go the staff and Dr. Berenson have convinced me that I will recover the quality of live I previously enjoyed. This is their main focus - treating Myeloma in a manner that has fewer side effects, fewer office visits and lower drug doses yet still providing the desired outcome. If you want a Doctor that will treat you as an individual and fine tune your treatment regime to do you the most good then this is the right spot!

I have been under the excellent, personal care of Dr. James Berenson since April 1, 2016. He applies his brilliant expertise, knowledge, and experience as a mutltiple-myeloma specialist. I went into Complete Remission, May 6, 2016. Today I finished four months of a chemo therapy protocol with him, making six months total of chemo, as I had two months of it at UCLA, Jan. & Feb. of 2016 before making the wise decision to see Dr. Berenson. Today I began a maintenance program, which I am very, very happy about. Dr. Berenson is also a world class researcher with a lab on the premises, and a pioneer in cancer research who speaks to colleagues around the world. He always addresses my current condition based on current labs during each visit, making appropriate adjustments to improve treatment and to counter side-effects. His nursing staff and crew are wonderful, competent, and always make it perfectly clear what I am being administered and why. They feel like an extended family, as do many of the other patients I see there regularly. I have the highest praise for Dr. Berenson. Also, his wife, Debra Berenson, wrote a wonderful book titled, "I Have WHAT? A very helpful guide interviewing patients and doctors, which I highly recommend, especially for families of patients.
