I am so impressed with the laser hair removal services at Jana HealthCare! The process was quick and virtually pain-free, and I've already noticed a significant reduction in hair growth after just a few sessions. Dr. Farhat's expertise and care made all the difference!
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Farhat and the team at Jana HealthCare! Their personalized weight loss plan made it easy to stay on track, and I’ve seen real results. The support and guidance I received were top-notch.
I recently had my microblading done at Jana HealthCare, and I couldn't be happier with the results! The process was smooth and comfortable, thanks to the numbing cream and the careful attention from the esthetician. My new brows look natural and perfectly shaped, saving me so much time in my morning routine.
Jana HealthCare transformed my weight loss journey. Their tailored program helped me lose weight in a healthy, lasting way.
Dr is great staff if friendly but even tho the office close at 5 they never answer the phone after 4
Genuinely the worst medical office and healthcare I've ever received. I truly believe this office is an endangerment to the local community surrounding it, and preys on marginalized populations. I went to Jana the other day just to recieve a physical with blood work. Very run of the mill stuff. I explained I am a bit fearful of needles, and that I planned to listen to music to regulate myself and not interfere with their work. The nurses informed that was completely normal and okay to do, and to make myself comfortable. Well come to find out a medical assistant in training was practicing with my blood draw without my knowledge, and when she inserted the needle from the wrong angle it wasn't drawing any blood and felt very strange the other nurse pushed it in further and the MA let go of it completely to adjust the tube causing the entire needle to go flying out of my arm, blood gushing all over it and onto my pants. I was mostly shocked and confused, so I asked "did you get the bloodwork? Is something wrong?" Audibly shaking. The MA who had made this mistake proceeded to blame me saying if I hadn't listened to music this wouldn't of happened and you cannot twitch? Yet I directly asked if it would interfere and tried to cooperate and be considerate the best I could. They continued to talk down to me when I asked if I could at least have more tape for the dangling piece of cotton they haphhazardly put on my arm and have the blood stains cleaned. I understand medical assistants need practice and training, as a medical student myself I would never want to be discouraging about that. But I can tell you for a fact not disclosing that information on a fearful unknowing patient, inserting it incorrectly, causing a biohazardous mess you hardly want to clean, and then shaming the patient for it all, is beyond just making a mistake and accounting for it. It's terrible healthcare. Unfortunately this isn't even where my issues with Jana end, as the general staff is very incompetent and condescending too. I have Medicaid, and needed to change my PCP to this provider to be seen. I did so, and was informed from the receptionist herself it's all good to go and she sees it on her end. Before I leave I am told the bill is covered. Two days later I get a phone call backtracking completely on this. She tells me I need to change my PCP, I never did, and she never actually saw it at all?? I informed her I did change my PCP, she told me the bill was taken care of, and so I changed the PCP again later on because I was unsatisfied with my care and needed to go elsewhere. I wasn't sure what to do because Medicaid only allows you to change your PCP 3 times. She begins yelling and talking over me to say I actually don't have Medicaid and that I have Empire Blue Shield, which is what my Medicaid is supplied through? I couldn't even get a word in to explain this and just genuinely ask for advice because I am not allowed to switch my PCP another time this year. I was instead treated like I was a terrible inconvenience. I have seen various other reviews addressing similar insurance issues with the receptionist, lackluster and inappropriate care being provided, as well as preying on low income and immigrant families. I feel this practice takes advantage of those with little other options. In terms of finances, language barriers, and the inability to advocate for themselves back and I'm genuinely heartbroken to see this. It goes beyond my own bad experience and more of the context of what I believe is going on. I'm going to file a formal complaint with NY department of health, and I would recommend anyone else who has been mistreated by this medical practice does too.
Dr Farhat saved my life. She got to me on a personal level and helped me loose an excess of 50lbs. Staff are extremely helpful and tend to your every need. So great full to have found her as a PCP!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jana Healthcare and being treated by FNP Faustyna. I must say, I feel incredibly cared for and reassured that my health is a top priority in her capable hands. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere was comforting. FNP Faustyna exudes professionalism and expertise. She takes the time to listen to all my concerns, and I never feel rushed during my appointments. She explains medical matters in a way that makes me feel safe and knowledgeable about my own health. Her compassionate approach to patient care truly sets Jana Healthcare apart. Overall, my experience with FNP Faustyna and the rest of the incredibly caring staff at Jana Healthcare has been outstanding, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone seeking excellent medical care and a supportive environment.
I gave it 1 star just so I can write a review. This doctor is terrible and incompetent. Prescribing medication without reading blood results!! Telling a patient to stop medication when the specific medication is to be weened off!! Save yourself from even getting more sick and find yourself a good primary doctor. This is a chop shop.
I recently had an encounter with Jana Healthcare, particularly in Dr. Laila Farhat's office, that left me extremely disappointed, so much so that I've felt compelled to look elsewhere for my primary care needs. One of the most disheartening experiences was with the staff's unprofessional behavior. The experience of having calls abruptly ended was very disconcerting. It is imperative in healthcare to maintain open and courteous communication with patients, a standard that sadly was not met in this instance. Furthermore, the difficulty in getting prescriptions refilled was a significant inconvenience. After attempting to contact them for two straight days, my requests remained unfulfilled. This level of delay and lack of urgency on something as critical as prescription refills can have dire consequences on patient health. Another major issue was the challenge of reaching the doctors directly. A patient should never feel that their health concerns are not prioritized. Unfortunately, the lack of timely and effective communication gave me that exact feeling, leaving me to reconsider the appointment of my primary care provider PCP. Moreover, in a time where telemedicine has become a staple in most healthcare establishments, Jana Healthcare appears to lag behind. The absence of a simple video call option, which has become widely accessible in other healthcare services, further highlights the disconnect with modern healthcare trends and patient needs. It's with regret that I share this review, as I had anticipated a very different experience. But in the interest of fair and honest feedback, it's necessary to share my disappointment. Here's hoping that my experience might encourage positive change and improved patient experiences in the future. I hope that the office takes my review into account and takes necessary actions to improve their services.
