January's Barbershop

I have been getting my hair cut by January at her self-owned barbershop for almost a decade! She’s truly AMAZING! Any style, no matter how difficult, January can do it & w/ complete perfection! January’s Barbershop is the 1 & only place to go! I’ve been to sooo many places throughout my lifetime searching for that passion & determination in a barber, that makes him/her pay such close attention to detail, & never lose any of those feelings no matter how many times you’ve sat in his/her chair! Each time I go she wants to impress me with my cut like it’s the first time…..That, right there, is that passion everyone is looking for in a barber. Well, once you go to January’s, you’ve found it! Although it sits in the heart of Montclair, I, as well as so many others, will travel such great distances to receive her services. Why?? Because IT’s THAT WORTH IT!! She really is that TERRIFIC! No matter how awful you feel walking in, you will ALWAYS walk out of there with your head held high feeling BRAND NEW! Getting stopped by complete strangers on the street is a regular occurrence because they just need to know, “WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR HAIRCUT?!?!?!” I gladly tell them, & they are so happy they listened. January, you are THE BEST!!

January is delightful and very skilled at her profession. Best haircut I have had in years, made me feel like myself again. She's also very inclusive - I frequent barber shops, but as an AFAB I often feel really out of place - I felt welcome and she used my pronouns. Bottom line is I loved the cut and atmosphere enough that I'm willing to make the one hour drive from my home to get my hair cut here every 2 months.

Best barber, especially for women. just a calm and relaxing vibe. I always feel like this is the best haircut I've ever got each time.

January is the boss. Edit: what other barber is going to install FuboTV and stream the important soccer match that you forgot about when your booked your haircut? 8 stars out of 5.

January has such a practiced hand and keen eye that I could walk in with an appointment and walk out looking my best on any day of the year. Good luck getting an appointment as a new client, but she deserves to be in such high demand!
