Sensei Casale is a world class instructor with unrivaled insight into the application of Karate and extensive teaching experience. The JSKA USA headquarter's dojo is an amazing facility with a one of a kind floor designed by Sensei Casale to build explosiveness and limit joint damage. It is also one of the few dojos that I have visited with multiple makiwaras available for students to perfect their technique. Everything about the dojo has been designed to the highest standards. If you are interested in learning self-defense, getting in shape, or just challenging your mind and body, this is the place for you!!

Casale Sensei is not only one of the WORLD'S LEADING authorities on Traditional Karate, but as a LEGITIMATE professor of sports science... is responsible for countless local, national and international Karate Champions! JSKA USA is incredible. My husband has been training there for years and loves every minute of it. So much so, that my 8 year old son is a student too now! Sensei's unique teaching style makes it possible for both children and adults to learn and excel! I highly recommend this Dojo for anyone who wants to learn traditional karate and stay fit!

I personally worked for Sensei Casale for 3 years and trained under him for 3 years before so I know the following to be FACTS! 1 Sensei Casale was a USA TEAM MEMBER 1988-1994! There's TONS of PHOTOS, medals and trophies from all over the world to prove that! 2 Sensei Casale has a 15 DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD FROM LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY ON THE WALL! He has also taught at Kingsborough Community College. 3 Sensei Casale personally teaches 10-20 classes per week and travels all over the world teaching seminars. The other instructors are wonderful as well. 4 Sensei Casale is on the cover of SHOTOKAN KARATE MAGAZINE this month. SKM is a HIGHLY respected international magazine, and ONLY has the highest level most respected Karate Masters in the world on the cover. JSKA Karate is a FANTASTIC SCHOOL for both adults and children. Sensei Casale is a highly skilled martial artist and very caring teacher. I was reading the first couple of reviews for this karate school and I was a little iffy bout it, but the instructor was offering a pretty good holiday special. I got a karate suit and I get to go to classes for a full month for a fairly good price, so I decided to give it a shot. I always read up on the accolades of the instructors and the dojo itself before I check it out. I have done MMA and Tae Kwan Do and other styles, but I have never done a form that is TRUE, as is purported by Sensei Casale's website. I have been attending for the past two weeks now and I love it. All of the tenured students have helped me out and the environment is very TRADITIONAL, which is what I was looking for after the different styles I had tried. I would definitely try this place out if you are looking for the real-deal type karate.

This past September, I enrolled my six year old son in the JSKA Karate school. What I thought would be just another extra-curricular activity for my son, turned out to be a sport that has enhanced his life in several different ways. Not only is he getting the exercise he needs which also contributes to the physical and occupational therapy he's receiving in school but also, it's developing mental strength and a sense of community amongst his piers. Sensei Casale and Sensei Makhail have just the right balance of teaching the kids self-discipline, the skill of martial arts, and at the same time, they make it a fun, encouraging, learning environment. My son who is extremely shy and usually withdrawn cannot wait to attend the next class. I was especially impressed with last week's movie night. Not only did they cater to the children via movie and pizza, but also, there was food and beverages for the adults so that the whole family would be able to enjoy this family night-- and this was at no added cost to us. Overall, I am actually excited to have found a place, another "home" that my son Landon would be encouraged to come out of his shell and develop into the strong, young man that he's meant to be.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!! The owner is a FAT SCAM ARTIST who talks and plays more than teaches martial arts! He sells our kids candy and junk food and tries to rip us off with fake yearly insurance as well as other fees. I asked around to some other NY karate teachers who knew him and not a one had anything good to say! He says he was on the US karate team which is a lie! He said he is a professor of sports science and medicine and whatever he chooses to say based on the day of the week,all a lie! I say this all from experience because, unfortunately, my child is still going because he likes the only one there who actually teaches and isnt out of shape! besides the fact that we are locked into a yearly contract. as soon as my contract is up i am turning and running and so are quite a few of the other disgruntled parents. I wish the guy who teaches most of the classes would open his own school. he actually cares about the students and they leave sweating and happy actually having learned something. dont trust his fake smile one bit! hes a con man.

Sensei Tom Casale's technical skills are of the highest caliper. My experience with him was nothing less than professional.
