Japhet School

I still remember going to Japhet for Junior Preschool, Senior Preschool, and Junior Kindergarten from 1991-1994. It is still a running joke in my family that I used the word "nocturnal" correctly in a sentence at the age of 4. I also knew about and appreciated Mozart, and who Marie Antoinette was, from the Spring Sharing production that year, which I still remember. That is the value of a Japhet education, even for its youngest students. I remember the emphasis on moral character, and learning about plants and animals, as well as letters and numbers, and even some history and culture, all before entering Kindergarten. By the time I started regular Kindergarten in public school, I already had a strong educational foundation and was way ahead of my peers. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from public high school, received a full ride to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, went on to earn two Master's degrees in graduate school, and now work as a member of the faculty at a prestigious university. I credit Japhet for giving me a solid foundation from which to build my education and character. Thank you!

Japhet School is an excellent, nurturing school that focuses on character development and bringing out the very best in each and every student. With one-on-one support and encouragement, Japhet School prepared me not only for my classes, but for high school and beyond. The character qualities that are focused on each year are integrated into all lessons — providing students with a unique outlook both in and outside of the classroom.

Every time I attend a program or event at Japhet I am impressed by the dedicated staff. They genuinely care about their students and their academic achievement. It shows in the confidence and ability the students display.

Absolutely thrilled with the education my son received. Excelled in High School and College because of Japhet's foundation. Their character integration is amazing and highly evident in my son's own character.

My two children both attended Japhet School through 8th grade, where they learned about character and were challenged academically. They went on to have successful high school experiences, and today they have leadership roles in their lines of work. I highly recommend this award-winning private school in our community!
