Our experience with Stacy was amazing. She helped us pose. She was also very patient with my one year old who was fussy. Definitely recommend her.
Our portrait experience exceeded all my expectations and I'm thrilled that we got these photos taken! We did a pet session with 3 dogs and 2 people and I got photos I'll treasure forever. Paige was incredible to work with- reassuring, friendly, patient, communicative, and an amazing photographer! We're so happy and I'd love to come back to do more!
Everyone at the portrait studio was so kind and helpful. The photographer had a great sense of humor and gave really helpful posing tips. I love how the photos came out and would definitely come back!
Our family had such a disappointing experience at this studio! It seemed our appointment was double booked, so we felt a bit rushed at the very start. Most notably, however, was the photographer…while a nice person, she failed to provide feedback on what she was seeing behind the lens to help get good pictures. Often the feedback came after several pictures were taken and then only a few additional pictures were taken to ensure we had a good selection of smiling, not awkward faces. What was presented in the final set of pictures was surprising- it made us realize how much of a struggle she was having getting strong, smiling pictures of the entire family. Had she made this more clear during the session, we could have course corrected and helped ensure we had a better selection of pictures. We also asked for a specific pose for our newborn with his feet, but that wasn’t done and with the party of three waiting outside we felt we had to move it along. It was also a bit frustrating that we weren’t told to provide a Shutterfly linked account for an easier download experience even though it was noted we had a Shutterfly account. It was only after the transaction was processed and could no longer be edited that this information was provided. It’s a small thing but makes a difference in the customer experience. We bought the digitals as we didn’t want to miss out on the few good shots that were taken, but ultimately the experience did not meet expectations. We wish we could have had a different experience and come away with better pictures, especially as we’ve had good experiences with JCP Portraits in the past.
We had a pretty rough experience here. Booked an appointment a week in advance for 530pm. The day of, we were told by the photographer that the girl who was supposed to come in to take our photos never showed up. Never got a call about that to let us know. He apologized and had us wait right outside until he was done with the group before us. He never told us approximately how long it would take, so we waited right outside. It ended up being a hour. He then called us in and was asking us the entire time why I wasn't smiling. "Guess you're not one to smile." I wonder why... Well, at least in the end, our pictures came out nicely in my opinion. His boss offered to give us a free print for the hour-long wait, and that ended up being another 30 minute wait for them to figure out how to override the payment. In total, we spend 1 1/2 hours at this place for only 4 poses. Oh, and the girl came in later for her shift. Where is management? This place seems like a mess.
Our photographer was Jennifer, and she did an excellent job capturing a newborn my first nephew. In a 15 minute session we were able to get about 6 different groupings and poses. The newborn on his own, and also with the whole family. She took several shots of each pose, and we picked our favorites later. Even though we narrowed it down to a few favorites, we still bought the entire album. I could tell that Jennifer is very experienced because she was able to get our group in good poses right on the first try. She never had to say "stand here... oh nevermind, move over there"
Horrible customer service, very disappointed! My son is home on leave from the army, this was our only chance to have family photos done. When we arrived at 11:15 for our appointment the photographer was still with the previous family, there was a newborn crying and such so I did not disturb their photo shoot, we just sat down and waited patiently. Around 11:30/11:40 another employee arrives, she puts her things down but doesn’t acknowledge us or greet us in anyway. In the meantime the photographer is still busy with her family. I mention to the other employee that it’s ok that they’re running late, my kids are wandering the store. She tells me there’s another family ahead of us which confuses me as it is now almost 11:45, so I tell her our appointment was at 11:15, she looks confused and asks if I had checked in. I told her I hadn’t because there was no one here to check us in and I didn’t want to disturb the photo session that was in progress. A few minutes later, the other family is wrapping up so I text my kids to come back because I thought it was going to be our turn. The photographer comes out and informs me that because WE were late, she has to cancel our appointment!! I assure her that we were not late, that just because she and the other worker didn’t see us or something does not mean we weren’t here on time and that I chose not to disturb her, which she thanked me for and then admitted that they mis-scheduled THEIR day. She admitted that the previous family had a 10:20 appointment but she was told her shift didn’t start until 11! How dare they try to pin their mistakes on us, not cool at all! She finally admits that the management at this studio screwed up and asks us if we would like to wait to see if the next family doesn’t show up. Well the studio becomes chaotic and crowded so we just decide to leave. This studio is understaffed and incompetent, I highly recommend going elsewhere for photos.
If I could give this no stars I would. Worst experience ever. After driving 3 hours and spending money on a hotel just for family Christmas pictures we arrived to our session to be told it would be 30-45 mins late. Perfect. Our appointment was at 12:30 and we didn’t leave until 3:30. We waited almost 2 hours. Our pictures were TERRIBLE to the point I was almost in tears. The girl going through our pictures with us said I needed to ‘at least pretend I was enjoying myself’ because it was just part of the process. The guy taking our pictures didn’t have a clue what he was doing- the angles are just awful, didn’t know how to pose a group, cut part of us out, tons of open space....I can’t say that I actually liked a single picture. Not only did we spend a ton of money and waste a weekend but now we don’t have pictures to show for it.
I had a really good experience here. I was the only customer there when I arrived and we got started with the sitting right away. The shoot took about 10 minutes max and then we walked right over and the two employees helped me pick the best ones. The employees were fun and friendly the whole time. I needed professional head shots and I am really happy with how they turned out. Well done! Great experience!
We had an appt at 1245 for our family photos. We were told that we were an appt behind, it would be 15 to 20 mins. We said ok. 30 mins later the family that is taking photos is out and I'm thinking we are next. A family came in and took pics first ! They were late and their appt was still honored. We always get told if we arrive late we forfeit our appt. I asked how long it would be and the girl told me 15 mins is the usual sitting time. 45 mins later, well over an hour after out appt they are finally ready for us. We got 2 family photos and my daughter was over it. She was done. She is a year old. The photographer said we could take a break while she changed the backdrop if we wanted and I told her no, that we needed to get more photos we only got 2. We tried again just her and she just was too restless. The photographer then had the nerve to tell us we should have scheduled an appt earlier.... I was livid ! They absolutely don't care that it takes time for all of us to get ready and that a toddler or babies just can't wait that long.
