Classic BBQ place with plenty of smoked meat options. The smoker was going in the front if the restaurant giving off a wonderful and fragrant smoked meat aroma throughout the outside and inside of the restaurant. They had some drink specials listed for Thursday! I had gotten the brisket & half rack of ribs meal with 2 sides and hush puppies. Ribs did not fall off the bone, a little on the drier side but still plenty of flavor. The dry rub is very strong in flavor so I advise you to try it before adding sauce! They had a Spicy and Sweet sauce available if desired! Overall a solid BBQ place with good flavor and plenty to chose from!
Awesome dining experience! Real wood smoked meats. Great fried okra and mac n cheese. Garlic buttery texan toast. Brisket was the best brisket I have tasted! The sausage was handmade & so delicious!!! I dont like sausage, but I will order their sausage. Casual and friendly environment. The salad with smoked chicken on top was amazing.
Spacious and modern interior with attentive staff. It's always nice to see smoke and smell bbq before even entering the front door. I get suspicious, otherwise. The brisket was tender and seasoned well and there was a thin smoke ring visible beneath the crust. I had a good portion of brisket for the price and the collards and Brunswick stew were also tasty. I would come back, if I'm ever in the neighborhood again.
Clean and respectable establishment. Service friendly and efficient. Unpretentious menu reflects confidence in product. I had the Altheas fried chicken sandwich with macaroni and cheese. Large portions, very tasty. Chicken was a wee salty but that’s just me. Excellent house sauces. Family members had pork and brisket dishes and were all happy. We’ll be back.
Let me just start this review off by saying, THE BRISKET IS OVERCOOKED. Literally! I have never in my life had BRISKET that tough! The collard greens were too peppery. The Mac n cheese didn't have enough cheese. They just taste like noodles. Smh...I really wanted to like this place too, considering it's very close to my house, but unless they take heed to the constructive criticism, they won't gain the new people moving to the area. PLEASE STOP OVER COOKING THE BRISKET! PLEASE!
Pretty good bbq, except for the fat chunks. I had the spud with brisket. The servers and staff were very friendly. However, First time there and won’t be back. Kind tacky…on top of tip, you need to add 3.5% to your bill because the customer pays their credit card processing fees. If you’re going to do that, just absorb it into the cost of each item. Don’t add it as an additional fee to the bill.
First time I've been since they've opened the Woodstock location. Absolutely fantastic! The ribs were Smokey and tender, and the mac and cheese is phenomenal.
Delenor was absolutely amazing! Very thoughtful and always one step ahead! Brisket was cooked to perfection with a little added BBQ sauce for finishing touch! Pulled pork and the ribs were very delicious along with the baked beans and stew!
Well I wish I could give a review on the food but so far I’ve been here 1 hour and 40 minutes and all I’ve gotten is a coke and it’s been empty for at least an hour. There were only 10 people here when we arrived. Update. At the 2 hour mark we started getting food. The brisket wasn’t good but it wasn’t bad either and was served at room temperature. For sure not worth the $20 for the plate. The large glass of Coke classic was the best part of my meal. The waitress was super sweet and was running her tail off doing the best she could. I will not be back or recommend to anyone.
I always go for the specials. Monday spuds and wing Wednesday is my favorite. Great prices for great food. Today I got 10 huge wings for $5 and I can't wait till next Wednesday. Kansas was working the bar and even though I only got food she treated me like a regular bar guest. You can't beat that. Good, fun conversation with all of the staff makes a good restaurant great.
