The best daycare you can ask for! We had both of our children there since they were babies and they loved it there! The owner is so easy to work with and very considerate! They would take care of your kids like they are family. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Jeanie's is wonderful! My daughter has attended this daycare for 3 years, and was the third school we tried. The teachers greet every child every morning with enthusiasm and are great at swooping in and grabbing my daughter when she is sad about being dropped off. While there are themes and field trips, the focus here is not on prep for elementary school...there is a major emphasis on play and imagination. I will say that this is not a daycare for helicopter parents. Jeannie can be blunt, but she has a heart of gold and is very protective of her flock. We love it here.
As a person who was a child at Jeanie’s daycare growing up it is nice to see that it is still a pillar of the university neighborhood. My experience at the center was both nurturing and educational.
Our experience at Jeannie's was unfortunate for our first time dealing with childcare. The employee's are kind but seem overworked and overwhelmed and our child was exhausted and distressed when we picked him up at the end of the day. In addition to observing several red flags, one of the biggest is that there is no security gate to enter the center, and when we inquired about one, Jeannie was apathetic to our concern. The most unfortunate part of our experience at Jeannie's was having our parenting insulted by Jeannie herself. We are open minded people and she claimed to be as well, but when it came to a difference in how we deal with our child at nap time, she made us feel like we are miserable failures who are turning our child into a monster. As first time parents dealing with childcare for the first time, being treated this way by a professional was heartbreaking and discouraging, and, when coupled with several other major red flags, was enough to send us looking for different child care. Finally, we were not going to post a review about Jennie's until my husband was treated rudely by her when he arrived to pick up our child's belongings.
