The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. And the food is what southern home cooking is all about. For a second I thought I was eating my moms potato salad and that sausage is sone of the best I've tasted. I wanted to bring a plate or the whole restaurant back to San Antonio. Jeff specializes in BBQ with the best homemade sausages ever. Also have great soul food plates to die for! I'm happy to say once you give them a try you would come back for more. I really enjoy the love that's shown from the beautiful smiling faces that would warm your hearts.

I wish my review could get me a free helping of that awesomely good tatsing peach cobbler. Great place to eat. What ever you crave I'm sure they have it. The burgers are the best burgers I have had in a long time!!!

First time here today and we Tried the Double Cheeseburger And Slice Beef... I haven’t seen my husband this happy in a long time about going to a Restaurant. The food I had here was Fresh!!! and it was Delicious .... Will be going Back Again!!!

Staff workers are very friendly and helpful , especially if you're having a hard time when choosing what to eat. For the most part dining area is pretty clean. Gravy is watered down,stay away from the spaghetti yuk so so bland. On the other hand sweet potato pie is awesome.Barbeque is ok

Tried this place for the first time today. The Mac & Cheese has no flavor...tasted like water. BbQ brisket sandwich was dry and flavorless. Phat Moe’s is much better.

First time here. Food smell and look good but customer service was bad. Very rude staff. They saw me standing there to order but just looked at me instead of telling me that i was standing in wrong area to place an order. Staff were not friendly nor helpful. I hate to say that because i want to support black business. We need to work on people skills.

I would travel from Cypress tx just to order their chopped beef baked potato and a peach cobbler almost every weekend. I definitely would recommend their food to anyone. I have been eating here for years. Thank you Jeff for your business!

I'm new to Houston and this place is the best. Smothered pork chops, greens, sweet potatoes, barbecued chicken, sausage and beef. This place brings back wonderful memories of my grandmother's kitchen.
