Dr. Lauren has completely ruined my face! I came in asking for advice about how to relieve dry skin and next thing you know im being misdiagnosed in treatment for eczema, which I know i don’t have! It’s been weeks of me trying to fix my swollen, red, and irritated skin. I also came here for acne a couple years ago, Dr. Mallen did clear my acne but with this concern both doctors didn’t help at all, instead they made it worse. I’m disappointed.
Since seeing DrRapaport was not an option - the wait was 3months for an appointment we saw N.P-C Corinne Carmona. My daughter's visit lasted no more than 5m, she didnt even do a full examination and her diagnosis was nothing less than "petechiae" accompanied by blood work, I was in shock asked her to confirm what she just said but she vanished from the room. Someone came back and they withdraw blood in a hallway. See you in 3 weeks the receptionist said. The next day I called the office to confirm what happened the telephone lady said they didnt have one of the tubes so they had to withdraw blood from my daughter again, any mother knows how traumatic these experiences are for a young kid. After requesting to have Carmona on the phone because these phone ladies didnt have the answers that I needed, Carmona said: "...it happens all the time, we dont have to let you know in advance if we can perform all the necessary tests and if you dont like you can go somewhere else".
This place is great . The lady Carrie dr.is excellent for my son 17yrs old. Took a picture and a biopsy and gave medicine . The receptionist are always nice.
The doctor is great, she knows what she’s doing, but barely has time to answer questions. The people at the front desk are EXTREMELY RUDE, they give you demeaning looks and answer you with an attitude without explaining things well. Dr. You should hire new people, cause the ones at the front desk are outright mean and disrespectful. Horrible customer service. Why pay someone who won’t do their job?
The doctor is very nice. However, the staff is rude and even disrespectful. It’s as if you are asking them for a favor and it’s not their job to assist you. I have been coming here for a few years because it’s close to my house but I’d rather do a little commute and go to a place where at least I won’t feel as I am bothering them.
I took my kids to Lauren after seeing other dermatologist and they are doing so good with there ezcema.
My experience with Dr Mallen was 5 stars. Their office was clean and they followed all Covid protocols. The front desk staff was great, efficient and friendly. Dr Mallen was incredibly thorough, professional and nice. I would highly recommend her as a doctor and their office as a whole.

I made an appointment because I’ve been having skin issues. I actually made an appointment for me and my sister. When I met with the doctor it was not Dr Rapaport. It was a woman with blonde hair. When I told her my skin issues she was very passive. I fact, she never even put gloves on or wanted to get close to me. I’m telling her what I’ve been experiencing and she totally bypassed what I was telling her and she prescribed me something that hasn’t helped me at all and tried to get me to buy a cream the office sellsit’s been almost 45 days my sister had the same issue. Instead of prescribing her what she needed and what the insurance covers, she bypassed all of that and tried to sell her the same cream she tried to sell me. The same type of cream that insurance covers. I can honestly say this dermatologist office isn’t for black or “other” people. They will totally ignore you and your problems and try to sell you their office products. They won’t diagnose you either. Save yourself the time and if you are black, go elsewhere. This office isn’t for you nor will they help. BTW, I found a new dermatologist and I’ve been properly diagnosed.
1 per charges $300 plus for a 10 minute appointment. 2 doctor didn’t even see me, a nurse saw me 3 the prescription never even reached my pharmacy 4 when I called in for prescription, the attendant persistently said that I can buy the medicine from them 5 upon me pushing back and asking to send the prescription to my pharmacy they never ended up doing that .. it’s been several months now 6 doctor is not interested in helping patients.. only making money by trying selling a dozen things to you when you go there … can’t even believe they are in business
