I came all the way from north to eat this food. I would live Near here just for the food. I came for curry chicken but my pregnant cravings said brown stew chicken. When you pick the chicken with a fork , it falls off the bones. It’s so yummy. The people in this neighborhood are blessed. I witnessed the chef do an act of kindness for a lady who came in the store. My heart swells and my tummy is full.
Elijah the owner, OMGosh was thee BEST! As usual for a Jamaican, he treated us like Family! The hospitality was the bomb.com I’m from NOLA, so you know the the name fit right w/me! ANYTIME you’re in Vegas, PLZ DONT miss this spot! EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! From the homemade ginger lemonade, to the food, to the dinner, to the desserts. As you can see, I DIDNT give it a chance. I 4got to take pics. I also had rum cake, of course that went 1st. For ALL this I say: 1 Love Mon
Bought a plate of oxtails with a side of cabbage and a side of jerk chicken got charged $37.99. But I didnt care thought it would be worth it, was expecting quality. Im Caribbean so just wanted a taste of home. And they just slopped whatever messily in the plate highly disappointed with portions n presentation for what I paid. Tasted ok but I should have went to a restaurant on the strip.
This was the first time that we came to Jerk Dat. We wanted Jamaican food and based on the reviews we decided on this place. We ordered 2 meals; the Jerk wings, red beans & rice w/cabbage. We also ordered the combo jerk chicken w/ oxtails dinner. Overall, these dinners over priced and very blan. The rice was mushy and tasteless, & the cabbage just tasted like pepper. Overall, I would have to say that the best thing on the plate.tjw At a price point of $50+ it really isn't worth the hype or money.
Jerk chicken and ribs. The rice and peas and cabbage are equally tasty. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The food plentiful. Get yourself some. You will not be disappointed.
Finally! Legit Jamaican food like my grandma used to make! I come from an Asian Jamaican family and I have been missing this! Chef Elijah is no joke. Curry,Jerk Chicken and oxtail! Fried Plantains And healthy portion. You will leave full. Cheers! Will definitely be back!
This was our first time trying jerk chicken and it did not disappoint! The chicken was perfect and the ribs were fall off the bone - we even tried the goat and liked it! If you are into a little spice get the rice and beans, if not get the white rice. And do yourself and your family a favor and treat yourselves to some cake - definitely worth it! The woman who helped us was great and so patient with first timers - thank you!
The food is absolutely delicious they’ve had to raise their prices a bit but the amount of food is still worth the $$$ they have a good selection of options and they also have added a pretty big selection of Jamaican spices and sauces along with other Jamaican foods and snacks will forever be my favorite spot 10/10
Very Delicious Jerk Chicken my favorite is the Curry Chicken And the authenticity from when you walk in the restaurant.
I ordered 2 orders of jerk chicken and the chicken was burn and dry. Very disappointed. Even the plantains were dried out, it almost crumbled.. the lady that served to food was rude as well. We will not be eating here again. $44 down the drain. Smh. I usually don’t give negative reviews, but this food was so horrible that I had to post this
