This resteraunt is on Chokolov st the other one is closed due to violations. There was food and a fork under the table the salt shaker was filthy. Not what I would as being up to covid standards or even before. There was a young child in the kitchen . The food was horrable not even going to give 1star price does not meet guality of food.
The "shawarma" looks like it's been pan fried, and tastes like it might be nearly expired. The Baba Ganouj I assume that's what this flavorless mash is supposed to be has the consistency of mulched newspaper and is covered in some awful store-brand salsa for some reason... The salad is full of limp vegetables. The rice is tainted by the chicken's odorous juices. I'm throwing the pictured food in the trash. Disgusting.
I had the lamb and it was outstanding! The staff was friendly and the value was excellent. It's a must for any meal!Great place for lunch. The hummus and chicken are delicious. Lunch entry is served with delicious cucumber salad, tabouli and rice. They start with an appetizer and pita. Good food, cooked fresh and reasonably priced-what could be better
Real good food. Fast friendly service. The price is also very fair. Starters are included. The most important part: You have a place to go to dine downtown that has very different food than the other places. It is a Mediterranean/Arabic mix of food. And it is light food but good portions.
So. The food is good but they skimmed on the food for my party. I was with 3 people and we all ordered our food that individually came with appetizers. They brought out portions for one for us all yo share and then I didn't even receive the taboulah salad as stated on the menu. It wad a pricey lunch for them to go cheap on us. Not too happy. I asked about the missing salad and the waitress said she would check and never got back yo us before we had to leave.
This is a No-Frills place. The owner was on the premises. The food was TERRIFIC! All food was very fresh. I was with two other people and we all had different plates. My one friend had the falafel which was plenty of food to eat and to share. My other companion had a chicken dish which also was plenty to eat. And I had the shawarma which was probably one of the most delicious I've ever had. It was not greasy or fatty at all. Just very flavorful. All complimented by teas & fresh juices. Very reasonable pricing. Street metered parking only.
I love these restaurants, all of them, even their "sister" restaurant pita house. This time i went, i don't know if the owner was out sick or what, but the waitress was incompetent, had multiple dirty tables, telling customers " find a clean spot". Running around not accomplishing anything. The food was poorly made, bland, and didnt look pretty as usual. Everything was different all the way down to the soggy microwaved pita bread, bland hummus and cabbage. I was very disappointed. Like i said i love these restaurants, but the down town location fell on its face that day, i hope it was just a fluke not something permanent.
The food is not that good, I ordered a shawarma and I was expecting something better; the falafel is good though. The place is in a great location, but it's a little outdated and smells weird, some sort of old smell. I'm willing to give it another try, perhaps order something different and maybe I'll update this review
I brought my mother here today for her first time, and we were both blown away! Delicious food, and a great host. The atmosphere, great food and stellar hospitality will definitely have us coming back again!
If your looking for good food. This is it. I went with the chef suggestion. I cook myself. This pleased my palette. The flavors were harmonious. I enjoyed the garlic chicken on rice. It has a rising star decor. Think of being in a part of Jerusalem eating at this shop dinner.
