Jethros BBQ n Pork Chop Grill

Has the feel of a sports bar. Food that I have tried has always been fine but unremarkable, and inconsistent. Sometimes food comes out hot, other times fried food comes out luke warm which of course is super unappetizing. The boneless wings aren’t the typical “nugget” style but instead long thin strips, almost look like fried calamari pieces. Onion rings are decent but typical decent sports bar fare. BBQ is nothing special, but chain quality serviceable in my opinion. Without going into tons of details, the owner has had questionable past business practices, employee treatment, etc. that is well reported in the news. I can’t personally attest to anything here but can mention google/news makes this info readily available.

Not to bad. We had a softball team in the backroom with two servers an they pulled it off pretty well. Drinks came first, orders, appetizers, food, bills an done. Very friendly and fast to answer your questions. Food was hot and plenty of it. My meal was wings, mashed potatoes, and tried jalapeño cream corn which was pretty good. Facility was very clean, nice decor and looks like a food challenge to give a try at for the food competitors.

I came in with moderately good expectations after reading the menu, but was genuinely impressed, especially by the pork chops, but high-fives are due the stuffing and the brisket, too. Pretty tasty. Good variety of sauces. Brisket platter was delicious and just the right size for a hungry eater. Jalepeno cream corn was awesome.

I had the Salmon with mashed sweet potatoes, jalapeno creamed corn and Texas toast. Everything was absolutely dynamite! The flakey, juicy Salmon came with a glaze of BBQ rub which was excellent. The jalapeno creamed corn was not hot at all but had the amazing flavor of jalapeno in it. I'd never had that before but I certainly will again! I love sweet potatoes and these did not disappoint! My drink to go with this deliciousness was a Bloody Mary which came with a "salad" on top of a skewer with two large green olives, a long dill pickle spear and a stalk of celery. I was very happy with my dining experience and hope to enjoy that again!!

We were there on the 24th. I ordered a BBQ Ham sandwich and my friend ordered a burger. The food was very good and the portions were substantial for the price. Our waitress Stacy was excellent, timely refilling drinks and very friendly. Probably one of the better servers we have ever had. Would recommend this restaurant.

Food is amazing. Wish online ordering was less clunky. It lost my order last time so ended up waiting 20min. Staff were very nice and food was great so it made up for it. I'll just call in my order next time. Fav is pulled pork, Mac n cheese and waffle fries

Dont really know what I was thinking walking into a BBQ joint and getting smoked wings but they left just about everything to be desired. The atmosphere was pleasant, the bartender wasn't busy, attentive, or moderately nice. The nachos were bangin and the beer was cold.Food: 2/5

What can I say about Jethro's? It's a fine restaurant. It's ok. I don't have any issues with it. We live in Iowa and there are few decent BBQ joints locally. The Stuffed pork chop here is, stunning. It really is amazing. The boneless wings are tried and true. Their smoked meats are tested and methodically cooked. They don't really shine above anyone else, but you know what you're getting. That's what's great about Jethro's. You know that it's going to be good food, no matter what you pick. I've never been disappointed. They're consistent across all their locations. Jethro's was my first love, with smoked food. I got their dry rub ribs YEARS ago. I'll always love them for that sample and glimpse into a food element I'd never up til that point They're worth your money. Always. It hits the spot when you're hangry for BBQ.
