I worked with Jim based on a recommendation from my sister after she bought a house—Jim was representing the seller, and my sister liked him better than her own agent. Jim helped us buy a house in Crown Heights. He was patient, never pressuring us or trying to sell us on a house we didn't love. He was kind and thoughtful, inviting us into his own home to give us ideas and tips for renovation. He was also honest, dependable, and helpful. He's well respected among his colleagues and always ready to refer his clients to good attorneys, architects, contractors, and more. Jim takes pride in his job and is good at it—I recommend working with Jim.
When we met Jim, we were impressed with his professionalism and knowledge as well as his friendliness and openness. At our initial meeting Jim provided us with a marketing plan and gave advice to get our apartment ready to sell. He quickly arranged for photos, advertising and staging. He was always available, and responsive to our wishes/concerns, getting back to any calls or emails very quickly. We received multiple offers in less than a month of the listing. We would absolutely recommend Jim for his diligence and extra efforts toward selling our apartment! He is not only a great realtor but also really nice to work with him.
Simply put, Jim is the man. We could not have been more happy with our experience. Jim sold our apartment during quarantine, while we were 100% remote. He made the process smooth and was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The photos and video of our apartment were super high quality and the property was staged and shot beautifully. Jim was always measured in his responses and on top of every detail. In selling our park slope apartment, we were making a major life change and moving out of the city. In working with Jim, that change was significantly less stressful. We felt in excellent hands through the entire process. If you are looking for the best, you found it!

I worked with Jim for several difficult months during the height of the NYC pandemic and he went above and beyond my expectations in marketing and selling my apartment. I had originally worked with another agent who botched several deals and left me completely exasperated and frustrated. I met Jim and I knew right away, he was honest, hardworking, and not just helping me for the commission he might earn. He genuinely cared about me and my situation and helped me every step of the way to sell my apartment. We had the most difficult client, anyone could imagine, who pulled all sorts of last-minute shenanigans and stunts to try and reduce the costs but Jim encouraged me to stay and the course and ultimately we closed on the apartment. My only regret is that I did not hire Jim to start with. I learned a valuable lesson, trust your gut. I cannot recommend Jim enough. He goes above and beyond the call of duty and helped me move forward in the most difficult of circumstances. Thank you, Jim!
Jim is an astonishingly good real estate broker. When I worked with him to buy a home, he put me at ease with his unmatched knowledge about the market, but also with his dedication to doing what needed to be done to reach our objective. Jim is an extremely hard worker who will go the extra mile for his clients. On top of everything, he is a super nice guy who is always a pleasure to speak with.
Jim is an incredible real estate agent. He is honest, trustworthy, diligent, thorough, and an excellent negotiator. He also has a calm disposition, and was a pleasure to work with. Jim's product photos, video, apartment description is better than any other broker we have seen. Jim worked tirelessly to make the entire process as smooth as possible and we would highly recommend Jim to anybody looking to sell.
Jim brokered the sale of my coop apartment in Brooklyn. He came highly recommended and completely fulfilled expectations. We had no prior experience selling or buying and needed advice and hand-holding. Jim was willing to provide definite opinions on does and don'ts all through the process and I really appreciated that. He came up with truly innovative and effective solutions for staging the apartment under a tight deadline at the height of the spring open house season and was then able to reach a lot of interested buyers. He has low-key charm, patience, humor, experience, motivation-- all that stuff you would want in a broker.
Jim was extremely helpful to out family in selling a house that was unoccupied. He was available to inspectors, meter readers and others who need access to the house. He obtained offers quickly and we were very pleased with the final price agreed upon. Jim was very professional and always returned called promptly. I would definitely recommend his services.
I began working with Jim Winters about four years ago when we were considering selling my mother’s house in Crown Heights and moving her into an apartment closer to my home in Park Slope. Even after our plans changed Jim was very helpful and knowledgeable about home inspections, prioritizing repairs, etc. So Jim was my go-to guy when I needed to sell my aunt’s townhome in Crown Heights two years later. He and his team worked side by side with me throughout the selling process, from finding topnotch people to clear the hoarder house, cart away the loads of trash, make major repairs, on both an emergency basis and as part of a plan to bring the house up to the point where it would sell at the highest rate. He answered all my questions promptly, by email, phone, or text, so I always knew exactly where we were in the selling process. Jim is knowledgeable, responsive, and a very good listener, with creative problem-solving skills. He has a wealth of referrals for any services you might need. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jim Winters as a full-service, professional realtor.
Jim was great. He really understands the process and the market. And he will have honest conversation with you about value rather than woo you in with inflated and unrealistic valuations. He was also invaluable in helping to manage our property because we were not in Brooklyn when we put our house on market. We ran into issues with city,...an old construction project that was never properly closed, and an inconsistent c of o. That was a nightmare as only the city can make a nightmare out of a project that was well done and needed no remedy. Jim was able to connect us to expert resources to help us through that process. He really helped to simplify our life. I would definitely use him again.
