!Beware! if you are looking for and alterations or fix something. Runaway from this cleaner “Taylor ” place. I bring a dress for some details and the guy gave it back to me without do what I pay him to do. Hi supposed to change the zipper which I pay $40 dollars for and hi ending do something else. When I pick up my dress the dress was still o of my sewing machine.. He knew I need the dress for that evening and they not even iron my dresser, and plus the dresser comes with some stains. They altered where they don’t supposed to. I was so frustrated because I have no other dress for that evening so. I have to run and buy an other one. I called and the men just said that he have a few tailor and don’t know what they do. He asked me to bring the dress to fixed it up. They ended up giving me the dress one week later without any apology. Horrible experience, please make you a favor and don’t stop to this place which is on 25-02 Steinway street in Astoria Queens. He also owns a two different dry cleaner. Pictures talk by themselves
Now under new ownership in the past year or two, Jimmy's Cleaners went from the best dry cleaner and tailor around to one that I'll never visit again. I knew things were different when I recently went to get a sport jacket cinched in a little bit and the tailor wasn't there because he was at his main shop in Ditmars. When I did eventually get help, not only did the tailor mess up the simple alteration two times, but I was charged the full $40 twice for his incompetence. Not only that, but he had the gall to blame me for giving them the wrong measurements as if I was the tailor and didn't come in to get it fitted and even wanted to charge me an additional $10 for pressing it after the second screw-up. Needless to say, his attitude left a lot to be desired, to put it as kindly as possible. Even though it's right around the corner from me, I wouldn't even use them as a quick, convenient dry cleaner - they didn't have my wife's dry cleaning ready for pickup a week after dropping it off, when they said they would, and then they completely lost my neighbor's jacket. It's a shame they kept the same name as the previous owners because they certainly didn't keep up the quality. If you're reading reviews for this place, don't take into account any that are from a year or two preceding this one. Hopefully this spot gets new owners soon because the quality can only go up from here. Might be a while before they go out of business though given how they nickle and dime at every turn.Services: Clothes pressing
Fantastic service and even better work! I bring absolutely all my dry cleaning and alterations here and they turn out great every time! The prices are absolutely reasonable as well. I will always come here. A++++++++++++++++++
Don't bring anything you value here unless you never want to see it again. This is the most unprofessional dry cleaner that I have ever been to. They made me come back 4 times because they couldn't find a sweater I dropped off for dry cleaning. Almost a month after dropping off my sweater I return once more and the lady at the front desk rolls her eyes, as if i'm inconveniencing her, and calls "Jimmy" so I can speak with him. I've already spoken to him on the store phone multiple times before at this point and he always promised to call me the next day with an update and never does. After being extremely patient with them he tells me that it might be at a different store that he has and that I should give him another week to find it and that he would give me a call to let me know. I finally lost all patients and explained to him my frustration and finished by saying that he needs to reimburse me for my sweater because I never want to come back to this place again. I showed his wife at the desk the confirmation email I received after purchasing my $50 new sweater. He tells me that my sweater doesn't look worth $50 that he will give me $20 and there is no way that they can even give me the money anyways because they don't have cash in the store. I asked him how he could even know this if he doesn't even know what the sweater looks like and tat he is lying because there is a cash register right in front of me. I am a business owner myself and his excuses, lack of professionalism, and the way he treats his customers is unbelievable. After going completely off on him he finally gave me the money I asked for and told me that if he ever finds my sweater i'll have to give the $50 back to him. I told him that he will never see me again and to enjoy the new sweater if he ever finds it. I haven't heard anything since.Service: Laundry pick-up
Recently moved to Astoria and needed a place to dryclean my suit. Nice people, fast turnaround. $16 for a suit and shirt. Took them a few minutes to find the dress shirt when I came to pickup. They appeared to have misplaced it.
Took a dress to be hemmed there and they completely destroyed the dress. It was a simple knee length dress I wanted shortened. I picked it up and went home and had no choice but to wear it for a wedding the next day. The LINING of the dress is longer than the outer fabric and its too short to even fix. I can't wear the dress anymore because its too short.
Jimmy's is under new management but still good in terms of any dry cleaner in the area. I have been in Astoria 28 years and use Jimmy's to date.
Expert cleaning and tailor services at reasonable prices with excellent customer service. Costa and Georgia even stayed late one night when I called to say I was on my way but expected to arrive a few minutes after they closed.
I’m happy to met her She is a wonderful woman
