I am sorry hear about all the bad reviews on Dr. moskowitz but my experience has always been the quite the opposite. I've had 3 kids and 4 miscarriages prior to having my kids all under the care of both Dr. Moskowitz and Dr Gardner. They are both the best to me and won't trade them for the world. It is true that Dr. Moskowitz is not a talker but he will let you know whether to take precautions or if something is serious. He answered any and all questions that I've ever had and was always kind and caring about it. His staff is by far some of the best people you'll ever meet.
Dr. Moskowitz is a wonderful ob/gyn. He is kind and caring but also straightforward and no nonsense. If you want to be coddled, make an appointment at a spa….His staff, on the other hand, did make me feel pampered every time I was there!! If you are looking for a doctor who is experienced, will take amazing care of you, has seen it all and is fazed by nothing, this is your guy. Twice the office saw me the same day when I had a concern. Dr. Moskowitz or Dr. Gardner returned calls within a couple hours to answer any questions. I had the delivery I wanted by an extremely patient and knowledgeable doctor in whom I had complete confidence.
I have been a patient of Dr. Moskowitz for over 20 years he delivered 2 out of 4 children via c-section & took care of me along with Dr. Gardner for my other two children. I thank GOD for such amazing and honorable Doctors & Staff. They are always happy, kind, sensitive and friendly.
Dr Moskowitz, along with Dr Gardner, was my doc for my two pregnancies. I acknowledge that he is no schmoozer, but he was willing to answer any questions I posed and was direct and honest. He also knows his stuff which, at the end of the day, is really vital if there are complications. Because of my "advanced" maternal age 40, when I gave birth, I felt I needed all the experience this man had. Dr. Moskowitz performed an amnio on me at a very advanced stage of my pregnancy-- a truly nerve-wracking procedure-- and the trust I had in his skill helped take some of the edge off.
I went to Dr. Moskowitz because a friend recommended him. It was a bad surprise: he was rude, and I had some visits where he would walk in, examine me and leave without saying a word to me. At some point when I didn't want to do one of the screening tests when I was around 7 months pregnant, I asked my father who is a physician to talk to Dr. Moskowitz on the phone during my visit - he yelled and hang up on my father. Then he told me that I am welcome to go and get care from a midwife and he can't take responsibility for me if I refuse a test. He seems really obnoxious and uncaring. Thanks god I had another doctor during the delivery.
Dear, Ladies DO NOT GO HERE! I haven't been in NYC that long but wow! I didn't expect to get ripped off this bad. I told them I just want a $40 co-payd check up and they said ok. I also asked about HPV vaccine and I told them if my insurance covers it in full I want to get that shot. After they checked they said yes it covers it. Well a week later Dr. Joel's office left me a message saying "it's a courtesy call for extra $10 charge" After they charged it already. After they charged it then they gave me a call! ok $10 that's not much then I get a bill in my mail from Enzo Labs the lab Dr.Joel works with for total of $790. My $40 check up turned into $840. Now I know why he chose to have no reviews on zocdoc.
Staff is so nice, everyone was very accommodating.
