Listen people this is a CASH ONLY bar! Johnnie Bleu has an atm on the premises though, with a $2.50 fee. I couldn't find their website for info, before I came, and the Google search link leads to a Facebook page with customer reviews and no solid info. This place a small one room bar with bench seating along the wall. No drink menu. You have to know your drinks. A small food menu with better than average finger foods. I had boneless, fried chicken and fries for 9 dollars. Mixed drinks were 12 dollars. It's what I call a simple "hole in the wall" spot. They offer hookah for those who are interested. I arrived before 8pm on a Friday, and there was no cover charge. Dj plays hip-hop.
Decent bar club situation said they shut down. It was definitely a vibe.
This place was bigger I haven't been here in years. But was still nice. We went on a Saturday night they had a $5 door charge, they don't take credit cards only cash. But they have an ATM right by the door. Me personally I don't like using this onsite ATM. Drinks were good and the music. We order some food, fries, steamed broccoli and sweet and spicy chicken wings. I must say the food was nice and hot and fresh
Always a great time when I entertain great people...plus, I love this JBL soundsystem!
Very tight space for a planned event. I don't know if the staff was not prepared for the event or if it is the norm. They ran out of food & the option to order took 2.5 hours to receive. The patrons & staff were friendly & the food was good when it was finally received.
I had an amazing time with my friends. However, It took me over a hour to get a drink. They had one bar tender. But the biggest issue I had was with the lady taking the orders would not take my order for over 90 minutes which caused me to not drink any more because I had not eaten. Finally I shut down and stop trying. She needed a better system. She was all over the place. She told me to wait 3 time but took people's orders who just came in and sat at the bar. I was there to celebrate my girlfriends 50th birthday along with 30 other friends and family. I will never go back again.
The hookah service was good and quick but everything else about the bar was subpar. Drinks were of poor quality, food tasted like it was from a gas station, seats felt like sitting on broken plywood and badly in need of reupholstering. Functioned as a place to stumble in and wait out traffic at best
Stopped at this place before a concert at The Met. The food and drinks were excellent and the prices were great. Cash only Stopped in after the concert for another drink and the price was double, they said it was happy hour before. Staff are very friendly!
Love Johnnie Bleu. This is my #1 place to go. Love the hookah and music. The foooooood is absolutely DELICIOUS. Those mussels are my favorite dish. The bartenders are great and good looking. Very fun, friendly, and professional. One of them, G, made me one of the best drinks I've had in a while. It was a rainbow layered drink it had a good blend of sweetness but great kick from the alcohol. If I could visit every weekend I surely would. It's great. I'll be there again.
Took a bit for the bartender to notice me as I'm not a female. And they didn't have any vermouth to make a vodka martini, other than that if you want a Hip Hop music, Hookah smoking chill spot that cooks food....it's not bad.
