Johnsons's BBQ Shack

It’s one of my favorite places. Great food, good prices, good amount. So why 4? Because I go every week or two and the last couple times, on the weekend, I’ve been in between 4-5:30 and they don’t have any ribs ready. I know they take awhile but I just called to see if they would have any... they will in 2.5-3 hours. I know it’s early for most folks but really? The service is good but totally depends on who is working. I really hope things pick up! If your going for anything in particular you might want to call first!

The food: The ½ pound of meat I got was PHENOMENAL. The sauce was PHENOMENAL. The corn pudding was PHENOMENAL. The service: the lady who served me was incredibly friendly and my food came out in about 2 minutes. The atmosphere: I like joints like this. Cinder block walls, sauce purchasing display, big family style tables available. Sports playing but not blasting audio. I will be making the 40 minute trip here again no doubt

Great bbq love the brisket! The nachos were awesome as well. We will definitely be going back! Also nice seating are outside.

Overall I liked it. The atmosphere is very rustic and gives you a call relaxed not rushed feel. The meat was good, a little rough but the sauce was AMAZING! I have been to a few bbq places and i haven't had good homemade local sauce until I came here. Service was very fast and friendly. Owners were making new desserts and I got a free dessert to try and give feedback on. It was a Smores cookie. Very delicious. The sweet tea wasn't good and their soda machine was down, but they had canned soda as back up. I would say if you were in town to try it but not make the effort to go out and get it.

Amazing BBQ in the heart of bargersville. The food is fantastic, and you get more than your money's worth. Check out their food truck if you see it around town too. And the real sugar sodas are definitely a hit with the kids too!
