Joint Use Library

Beautiful library that’s quiet on the weekends. Unique selection of books for recreational reading and college courses. Clean bathrooms and water fountains and you can rent a quiet room or sit in a chair facing gigantic windows.

So with kempsville temporary library being closed and the actual kempsville library closes I had to go here to get some books I had on hold....annoyed at first, BUT what a beautiful library! Open floor plan, clean! They even have giant chess and giant checkers you can play. Will definitely be back to enjoy more thoroughly. There is even a Starbucks here to purchase drinks from and coca cola vending machines....all of this on the first floor. look forward to coming back and seeing the rest of the library

Beautiful library for public patrons on the first floor and for students on the second floor. Librarian was thorough in explaining the library policies.

New and shiny, with many meeting rooms, lots of community, which my family attends weekly, sometimes daily. They have various games and boards games for kids too, arts and craft activities and even opera. A great place to spend time with the family and learn something new.

Free for all and lots of books and resources. Also have games like chess and other clubs. Family friendly.

The joint use library is a perfect place for study wether you are doing some school projects or not. They have professional and friendly staff who try their best to help people. At the same time, their kids´ section is awesome place for kids to spend time for fun or choosing their favorite books and other materials.

Great library! The kids section is the best out of all the libraries in the area. My daughter really enjoys it. They are also extremely helpful and sweet.

beautiful library but it stops their. No easily accessible WIFI. security walks around making sure everyone's masks are covering their face, even though everyone is more than socially distant. they ask you unnecessary questions at the door. It's a public library, why am I signing in? and why am I being asked questions by security when I am already checking the box to the question that he feels the need to ask. Also, this public library didn't allow the PUBLIC in during covid. Our tax dollars payed for this establishment...

Still the same place I remembered. I studied here constantly before the pandemic, and finally just started coming back. The staff is still very friendly, the building is still quiet, neat, and clean. Happy to be back, can’t wait for the study rooms to open back up to the public one day! But for now, it’s nice just being able to come and go again like before.
