This place was recommended to us because my sister had her wedding scheduled at Sunset gardens. The woman who did our hair did wonderful. She was super sweet. The individual who did our makeup, however, did not do anything remotely similar to the inspiration pics presented and really knew one simple, plain, natural look. I wanted a cut crease, liner with wing, etc. I was the MOH and I get that I shouldn’t be all glitz and glam and outshine my sister’s makeup. But I showed my sister what I wanted and she was cool with it. She wanted me to feel confident. The outcome looked nothing like the pic. They had no loose pigments on hand. She also didn’t put mascara on after the eyelashes to blend them for anyone in the bridal party. She also didn’t put any lipstick or gloss or anything on my mom’s lips. Fortunately I brought mascara, along with five different lipstick shades in my purse for my sister. They also recommended this other foundation that was a spray on and supposedly it would last longer than regular foundation my sister, the bride, paid more for it. It did not last longer. When my sister cried during speeches there were VERY visible streaks. I’ve cried in makeup many-a-times and the streaks were never THAT bad. Again, fortunately we had extra foundation for touch ups. She literally had to do a pump or two of my foundation to redo half of her face. It was not worth the price at all. None of it was. We could have gone to MAC or Sephora and paid less and gotten more. Choose anywhere else, especially for the makeup. Not only are these pics going to be around for years to come, but you should feel confident on your wedding day and so should your bridal party. Makeup and hair can be empowering and make someone feel AMAZING. Y’all need to practice on having fun with makeup again and get out of the rut of doing the same look. Lack of enthusiasm for makeup.
My wedding was November 13, 2020 at Sunset Gardens, I booked with this salon as a credit was included in my package. This was the worst experience I've ever had. We had five women getting our hair and makeup done and the salon had one hair stylist and one makeup artist for all of us. There were three other stylists in the salon, two of them sitting there without clients for the majority of the time, and none of them helped our party. Bri, the stylist, informed one of my friends she was just three months out of hair school and it absolutely showed. She severely lacked any customer service skills and maybe said 10 words to us the entire time we were there. My mother wanted a simple french twist which she could not do. She struggled with curling hair and held the curling iron horizontally, which I'm not a professional, but even I know that is incorrect. She used hardly any product to hold the curls/styles and blamed it all of our hair types or the fact that our hair was washed the day before. None of our hair turned out remotely close to the inspiration pictures. My maid of honor's hair style was falling out before the wedding and one of the girls wasn't finished in time for pictures. During our time there Bri was also acting as receptionist and would have to walk away to answer the phone. I don't understand why a salon would assign such a novice stylist for a wedding party nor why they planned/staffed so poorly that day. I don't recall the name of the makeup artist, she was much more friendly, but there were also issues with the makeup. One of my false lashes became loose prior to the ceremony, everyone's lip color had either faded or smeared despite her telling us it was a lip stain which should do neither. I had to redo my eyeshadow as she used a chunky glitter which was no where in the pictures and there was no time to have her fix it. The experience here is not worth the $100 credit given by Sunset Gardens. Despite us being there more than four hours prior to pictures, they struggled and fell behind. There would have been no time, or point based on her lack of skill level, to ask for our hair to be fixed or redone. Two of the women had to redo their hair themselves prior to the ceremony starting. Save yourself the stress and frustration, DO NOT GO HERE.
Amazing!!!!!! I had my hair and makeup done here for our wedding at sunset gardens. I looked amazing thanks to them! My hair and makeup were beyond anything i could have hoped for. I would give them a million stars and highly reccommend.
I just had my hair and makeup done here for my wedding on 8/13/16. Veronica is amazing! She made my hair and makeup look so beautiful. She took her time and made sure I loved everything before she moved on to the next step. Everyone at my wedding absolutely loved my hair and makeup thanks to them. Highly recommended.
I just got married next door at Sunset Gardens, and the ease of being able to come to this salon at 6:30am 10am wedding was incredible. The ladies who did our hair and makeup Veronica were fantastic, sweet and knowledgeable. I had one bridesmaid who was convinced they would not be able to curl her hair, and they got it! Another bridesmaid was a little sick, and they were kind enough to help her out too. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. While I was a bit nervous in getting my hair done without a trial run, it turned out better than I thought and my makeup? Don't get me started at how flawless it was. I have NEVER felt so beautiful and these ladies definitely helped us start our wedding day off right. Thanks so much again!
They were recommended to us from my daughter's venue for her wedding. The woman who did my was the maid of honor was absolutely horrible. We had pictures of what we wanted, and I'm talking simple... She totally ignored the both of us we came out looking like we were in the 80s. She knotted my hair so badly my husband had to cut some of the pins out of my hair. The girl who did my daughter the bride was amazing though. They also quoted me a price, confirmed the price when I got there and then when I went to pay the older lady charged me $75.00 more and then bad mouthed the young girl who did the amazing job on my daughter the bride. So no I don't recommend this place call a mobile hair Co in Vegas and they will come to you!
The artist was very nice. But my make up looked infonished and cakie, also my hair styles that I chose her to do were awful always get a trial first before your big day
Veronica did my nails and toes before our April 26 wedding at Sunset Gardens and she did a great job! I loved being able to chat and relax. I'm super rough on my hands and feet and my nails have held up since then!
Do not come here for a manicure or pedicure for your wedding. Was given a $100 credit for my wedding day, my mother in law wanted to book for hair and makeup but they told her they were full on that day. We booked with someone else. I got an email a few weeks before my wedding about the credit and I booked a mani/pedi. When i asked how much the service would cost i was told "pretty much all of it". Get another email a few weeks later saying if i needed anything, hair, makeup, give them a call. I emailed back to confirm my nail appointment and they never put it on the books. Was assured they would take care of me When i arrived there was a large yellow and black sign advertising a $55 mani/pedi special. I would have brought a bridesmaid with me if i had known that Day of the appointment i had the worst gel removal so many metal tools my nails are still recovering... Had a gel manicure that no care was given to cuticles, had old clumpy polish, and ovrall looked horrible. The next day my mom took me back to return the manicure. The there was a very helpful lady at the front desk who looked horrified at my nails and personally removed the gel and set someone up to come to my dressing room to give me a basic polis The polish had ample time to dry and got scuffed while i was flossing. They sent someone else to repaint the dammaged polish. Has drying time for my bridesmaids and me to get hair and makeup finished. As i am putting on my dress the nail smudges a 2nd time. They were closing for the night was a Sunday and were unable to help me. All i see in pics of my wedding is the deep regret i went there. Everyone was super friendly, and i was treated super respectfully.
